mrcoral.com January 7, 2012 January 7, 2012 Never seen that. Wow!! Someone will pay that. One of a kind.
zygote2k January 7, 2012 January 7, 2012 I've seen it before back in the day, but no one wanted them because they were considered ugly. I'm willing to bet that it doesn't sell for more than $200 or it will become a store fixture.
smallreef January 7, 2012 January 7, 2012 yeah its pretty, but again I wouldnt pay that much for anything for my tank... They may find someone who just loves it and HASSS to have it.. but doubtful
davelin315 January 7, 2012 January 7, 2012 Looks like some sponge is growing in there. That's a pretty cool pattern, though, I wonder if it will change like the aberrant yellow tangs that turn yellow over time.
Reefoholic January 9, 2012 January 9, 2012 I had the chance of seeing it in person last Saturday. It is pretty darn cool! 1k cool??? That's debatable!
Coral Hind January 9, 2012 January 9, 2012 I must not be the norm because it looks ugly to me. I would prefer a clam with all the blue, not just half. I wonder if it wasn't just shaded from the light on one side.
kevin January 9, 2012 January 9, 2012 I could buy lots of things with a thousand dollar than just a clam! Is this a new type of PR for the store?
traveller7 January 10, 2012 January 10, 2012 I like it Had one from East Coast Clams when I kept such things year ago. I was not a fan of sponges growing on my clams. I wonder if folks are still fresh water dipping, hand cleaning(pyramid snails), and dealing with pinched mantles?
