Hello all,

Just moved back to SoMD this past winter. Looking to get back into Reefing. I have about 15 years in saltwater and have pretty much always had fresh water. I had a 120RR SPS and clam dominated tank that was up and running for about 7 years, but had to get rid of it when I left AK. I kept some random stuff to start up a new bigger tank. Looking at something in the mid 200's-300. So anyone have a bigger RR tank up for sale?

Thx,

Jeremy

Welcome to the boards! I think just think morning one of our vendor members posted a used ~375g.

However, to buy/sell stuff on the boards you need to be a full member (best $20 ever spent on the hobby).

I am always interested to see what long-experience folks set up, so I look forward to it.

Hi Jeremy, and welcome. Click on the link in my signature for more information about the benefits of becoming a full member of our community.

Welcome to WAMAS. Once you become a paid member you will have access to the "for sale" section where tanks are listed routinely. Right now there is a 120"x24"x30" tank for sale in the member's only area.

Hello all again.

Thanks for the earlier replies. Been one awesome time since the last/first post. New big boat and new GF keeping me busy.

I did wind up buying a used tank at Roozens. It was their Eel tank in the front of the store. Pretty good deal so I bit the bullet. 180RR with, stand, sump and pump and other assorted items. I'm just in the process of buying LR and deciding on what lights to put on top. So much new stuff has come out in the year since moving and not paying close attention.

Guess it is time to join WAMAS............

thx

We have our Winter Meeting on the calendar later this month. It may be a bit of a drive for you, but I'm sure that you'd enjoy the speaker and meeting your fellow WAMASers if you found the time to attend. Hopefully you can.

Happy Reefing!

Welcome, are you a radiologist or radiographer?

I'm a former Radiographer (RT) of many years. But moved on to just Visual Inspection (CWI welds and bolts and such) now. Was doing both for a long time but my back is getting old and problematic.

Nice. I have admired that tank many times!

It is nice. Cabinets needed some TLC and maybe some re staining. I re did the drain lines as they were old and showing some age. Went to clean the mag 12 they gave me and I broke the shaft when I took it apart, so waiting on marinedepot now for replacement and spare. But all in all I am real happy. Not a scratch on the glass and all the wood is solid. Hard to believe from a store display tank.

I'm just wondering how this Skimmer is going perform. Guess it will show its stuff when I get my LR and start cureing. Anyone ever heard of or used a Top Pathom? It seems to be built ok.

Cool, I'm an RT myself.

Top Fathom are not very good skimmers in my opinion, but there are some pretty good reviews about them out there. I would do a search on google to see if there are any tips/tricks to getting it to perform properly. What model Top Fathom model is it? I think that for a tank your size you would need the 300 or 500.

Its a TF200A. I've read some wide rangeing mixed reviews on it and the company is only rateing it to 200 gallons. I'll run it for a while during LR cycleing and make a determination from there.
