L8 2 RISE May 20, 2010 May 20, 2010 What mesh or screen can I use in a reef tank? I'd like to get my cuttlefish into a larger tank but need to screen some parts off. I've seen some of you with screen type things in the water. What can I use and where can I get it?

You have to search a bit more to find bird netting.
Origami May 21, 2010 May 21, 2010 I've used egg crate successfully when separating fish into "holding pens" in the past.
gmubeach May 21, 2010 May 21, 2010 screen door material is what I used to clean my sand and I've seen alot of egg crate frag racks
DaveS May 21, 2010 May 21, 2010 Egg crate and then if the critters can fit through it, put window screen or bridal veil over the egg crate. The egg crate is good for providing support/structure to the screen or veil.
L8 2 RISE May 21, 2010 Author May 21, 2010 Thanks for all of the suggestions. The cuttlefish can fit right through the eggcrate so that wouldn't work unfortunately. Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for! Is window screen plastic? I thought it was metal wire, or maybe that's just the old screens.

They have some fiberglass stuff: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xh7/R-100390885/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053
