Tank Breakdown! Short Notice!

Hello everyone.

You may remember me, my name is Ian Martinez and I've been active in WAMAS for a while, though due to a major effort on a campaign I'm working with I haven't been as active recently...

Due to an unexpected curveball related to the campaign I have to evacuate FAST. It's temporary but long enough to warrant breaking down my tank.

Over the next weekend, particularly Saturday, I will be breaking down and selling my 75 gallon reef setup. This is a sad moment but sometimes life forces you to make decisions. I must move, so I must sell.

Some things are spoken for but everything else is available. I will split into livestock, Live Rock and tank setup, but not part out at a deeper level. This equipment is the bomb, frankly, and would sell for at least double on the open market. I see this as an opportunity for someone conscientious to upgrade to a 75 at a really cheap price. I believe many reefers like Copps, Sam Brannen and John from BRK will vouch for me.

The tank setup includes:

75 gal drilled (three overflows) display tank

29 gal sump

3 gal refugium

Assorted PVC piping and multi-valve system (very sturdy and easy to break down/set up)

Eheim 1260 return pump

Eheim 1262 return pump

SCWD alternator with tubing and nozzles

Sea Swirl 3/4 inch Wave Maker

Euroreef CS-5 Protien Skimmer

Air Water Ice Typhoon II 5-piece RO/DI system

JBJ Niveaumat auto topoff device

5 gal. food-grade trash bin for topoff

Aquactinic TX5 5-bulb T5 model actinic lighting unit with bulbs only a few months old (maybe 3?).

Small 30w fuge light

Two 5-gallon water-change jugs

Two 15-gallon food-grade water-change tubs

Various assorted tank goods; scrapers, tests, high-end food, etc.

Asking: $1000

85-100 pounds of live rock -- Whole range of sizes from small to massive. Much life, small stars, brimming with 'pods, a tiny bit of turf algae on one or two pieces but overall actually quite clear and well-encrusted.

Asking: $200

A pair of oscellaris clowns, one non-stripe the other striped, asking $20

Countless Acros, some Acans, Zoanthids, a massive head of frogspawn, beautiful montis -- all at bargain basement prices.

These prices are final but I think quite reasonable indeed. The one thing I would say is, if you want to buy it ALL I can give you a break.

Thanks for understanding and rest assured, this pains me a great deal.

Sorry to see you go - if we had some pictures... but then again - I'm heading out to dinner; I'm sure the livestock will be all gone by the time I get back! :)

No sir.

I like all the remaining people but she's not my choice. Can I interest you in a fish tank? :lol2:

Bob, let me know if you want to come check out what I have... I feel bad about not having pictures but, you know, I'm not a camera man!

Thanks,

-Ian

I can test to many of the corals that Ian has - several came from me too!

Bummer to see you go man. When you are back and ready to start again, let me know, and I can get you set up with some frags.

Cheers and good luck,

Mike

I was wondering if you knew if the clowns were a maited pair or if it is just a tank pair.

Is there anyway to get some pics of the clowns as well.

Thanks

I'll take the clowns and all the rock if it is 85-100#s

Grav, you'll never believe this, but when I went home last night, the junior (male) clown had jumped from my tank! It's really terrible. I think it's all the commotion and moving around I've done recently.

There's someone coming by Wednesday night at 9 PM who put in for the rocks first, but is only 75% or so. I will put you in second... and if you'd like to come by then, you can follow up. If you buy the rock after all, I'll throw in the female clown, whose personality is AWESOME, and since you're moving tanks you can probably just replace the young clown.

Please email me at ianindc@gmail.com with any feedback.

If you chose to break it up, I am interested in one of the Eheims, and the Sea Swirl.

Hello all... just a bump.

The livestock and rock are all cleared out.

However I'm going to re-post the tank setup (see above) for the next day or so.

I'm hoping someone will see what a great price this is and grab this before the end of the weekend.

I will consider parting out after that but frankly someone planning to upgrade should grab this.

Best,

-Ian

Hi Ian, please keep the sale posts limited to one thread. The rules prohibit listing a leaving the hobby thread to a single time in the general discussion area. Good luck with the campaign, may you end up back in DC when it's all said and done (OK, that depends on who you work for!).

Ian,

A bump for a great tank set-up. The equipment is in very good condition and the growth on those corals is fantastic.

I am sorry you had to break it down, but if you need frags to start up, just let me know.

Good luck on the campaign trail and after.

Nadir
