Not too bad of an idea. I'm surprised that nobody has thought of it until now.

If you do order, count me in for a set of 3. I'll split S&H with you.

Yea, could be cool. I'll go in for a 3-pack small if you order.

I just thought about it, if I had the larger ones with the stronger magnets, I could move my caps onto the side of the tank and free up a decent amount of rock rooom. Definitely count me in.

I already ordered and paid before posting. May be you could contact them and add to my existing order, it was only placed 20 mins ago

Well Rik already ordered his, so I'll start a GB if they company contacts me about bulk pricing. I'll let you guys know when I find out anything.

Hey Guys, since Rik started this out to let people know he's trying this, start the group buy in the group buy area and leave this one for commentary on them (or making fun of someone which is always worth it).

I haven't even heard back from them yet. If they are open to discounts, I plan on opening another thread in the BG section. Shipping is only $4 for a set, so unless we get a decent discount, it woudn't really be advantageous to start a group buy considering shipping is so cheap. I'll let everyone know what they say.

If suction cups are strong enough to hold up a coral as it grows out and impedes more water flow, you could prob make a pretty decent and cheaper equivalent by expoxying or supergluing some rubble (or a disk) onto a suction cup. Maybe I'll try that and see how it goes... dang I should have picked up some free suction cups a few weeks ago when I had the chance...

Okay - now that was almost TOO easy. I ordered 6 mediums. It's like click, click, click, password, click, click, done. If ordering was always that easy - I would spend way too much money!

Those are very cool. When I've finally got my act together and can put corals in my tank, I will actually be able to use something like that.

Wouldn't they be fairly easy to make, and cheaper?

From FAQ page:

Q: Do you offer group purchases?

A: Yes, we are glad to work with organizations for group buys. Please contact us at the link on the home page and we will provide you with a quote.

Oh and the site being down was when they changed from 3 sizes to one-size fits all.

still no response from them. I hadn't even noticed that they changed over to just one size. I've sure not many people were buying the smaller ones. I'm still open to leading a GB, I just want to see what kind of discount we can get to see if its even worth it.

They arrived Monday and they are small. I ordered the large (magnet strength not size of mount). The mount size is ~the size of a quarter. They have a good hold on my 1/2" glass and don't intrude into the tank more than 1/2-3/4".

Mine arrived - and yes, they are pretty small (LARGE strength magnet). I don't know how much of a coral they will hold, but it seems like a pretty strong magnet!
