I believe its those folks who arent nessecarily indifferent, justa bit naive and ignorant, that really need to be shown proper care techniques as the reef is NOT an unlimited source of livestock. Might be considered bad business at first but " teach a man to fish" instead of just feeding them kind of mentality is what separates mine and Johns store from the others. Oh and Byron.... Hey guys...so sorry for not posting the update...I had a crazy weekend and all I have to show for it is fricken poison ivy! and since I am severly allergic to it i had to stay an extra day to get steroids for the darn stuff. Luckily for me and the corals, the shipment was postponed till this monday, the 11th. I still plan on posting the pics as soon as everything settles in.... to all those that have a fish request with me, sorry for the delay, but please be patient as I am a one man show and a perfectionist to boot. I want to make sure absolutely everything is kosher here b4 i add more fish. Thanks again, and look for the pics on monday. Sean

i feed religously....but i usually dont hav a ton of fish in my SPS tanks so i guess if your feeding your fish quite a bit then adding a bit to the food would be the most youd need to feed. Also, I have fed my tanks using Hikari rotifers and they love it! I dont know if this is true or not, but I read somewhere that otifers can maitain a ton of nutri. value while in afrozen state for a couple of year. Guys? Anyone hear differently? Sean

they should all be small-med colony size....im sure there will be some variation. I have been waiting a few months for these corals to be available. I have been promised, CITES permitting, that i should be able to receive a monthly shipment similiar in size on a monthly basis. i would try the latter... chip, have you done that before and have you got high (er) alk and ph readings? I thought that you need acid accumulation to disintegrate the media (which is found in FW). Do you think that there is sufficent acid accum. and/or production to do this in a SW tank? Id be very curious to see the different chemical reactions that might occur in a aragonite DSB. Thats a good point....ever since ive kept reef tanks with little to no fish, I have had great success by keeping the SG at 1.026-.027. faster growth cleaner water. I def think there could be something to it, but Im not sure why...on a chemical level that is. Sean
