  5. Or a woman trying to say she has a 100 gallon but didn't even know what a filter was I commend you on your patience. Did you get my PM on the anemones?
  6. You gonna be in all day tomorrow Sean? Was thinking about stopping by to check out the anenomes and new corals. Thanks man.
  7. If any of them turn out to be baby anemones, count me in for a couple.
  8. Nice setup. So you have 10 bulbs on it now?? Wished my tank was that bright. You're gonna have that blurry purple spot in your eyesight whenver you stare at your tank too long
  9. I really hope this link works. Its on yahoo video and its a video that shows someone who appears to have trained some goldfish to so some sycnronized swimming. It looks to be real too. If some stupid goldfish can be trained to this extent, imagine what we can do with our saltwater fish!! http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=8e4d...945&cache=1
  10. How much to make me one? Or at least oversee me making it. Definitly not trying to burn my house down.
  11. 125 gallon reef and 30gal sump.
  12. I had also done some reading on these light, but decided to go with a T5 system instead. The LED lights are waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy out of my budget right now. take a look. http://www.solarisled.com/Products/tabid/56/Default.aspx It would add up though considering the bulbs are supposedly good for 50000 hours! I wonder if the Par level stays the same though? The light power is fully adjustable, being able to gradually dim or increase the level of light. That would be awesome, complete natural photoperiod. Can't wait this these things are affordable.
  13. I would first pay the money to join the club and get in with one of the members group buys. The members here get great deals when we all get in together on large purchases. The last order I got 50 red tip hermits (nice size ones), along with 50 cerith snails and 50 nassarius snails. Everything was just $28.50, plus $11 for shipping, so $39 total. Awesome deal.
  14. I'll check back in a couple days to let you guys know how the hippo is doing.
  15. Just went to Giant and got some fresh garlic. I really hope this rememdy lives up to the hype. Also, I have the larger mysis shrimp. The hippo usually eats a few dozen of them. Does it matter how much garlic I put in, or is only so much absorbed in the first place? I just don't want to over do it either. Thanks again.
  16. I can't freaking believe it. I came home today and my Hippo has a few white spots on him. I just changed my UV bulb too. Weird. I should have knocked on wood while replying to this topic the first time. So my hippo loves mysis shrimp. I take it all I have to do it chop up some garlic and let it soak in some water and the mysis will absorb the garlic?? Hope this works. I really don't want to have to setup a QT tank. Not to mention the pain in the a$$ of catching the hippo.
  17. How much for the smallest pair??
  18. Do you still have the Blue Jaw pair in stock???
  19. I definitly expect good things from this store in the future. I was just there today and Andrew is awesome. Spent some time explaining different setups and such. I think we Marylanders finally have OUR BRK or F&F. The customer service is great and prices are very good. Can't wait till thier saltwater setup if at 100% compacity.
  20. I'm going to sound like such a rookie by saying this, but its sounding like Garlic helps fight ich? This is my first summer with corals and inverts, so I know that if I'm unlucky enough to get ich, I can't use copper anymore since I no longer have just a FOWLR. Does the garlic help boost the fish's immune system or something?? I have a UV sterilizer on 24/7 so I hopefully won't run into this dilema, but you can never be too prepared. Thanks again everyone.
  21. I would have to agree and say that spending an extra $100 is worth avoiding a potential scam, not to mention any other mishaps with shipping or warranties and such. I'm always one to look for a bargain on the internet, but I try to stick to merchandise without many moving parts or simple items that can't be broken in the mail. Major purchases like this are always best through a reputable online or local store. How much is piece of mind worth??
  22. Out of curiosity, what type of trigger do you have in your reef tank?? I was so close to purchasing a baby niger trigger today, but didn't want to risk it. I do love the nigers though.
  23. How big is your tank??
  24. I've been only able to watch a couple shows thus far because my first Final exam is tomorrow and run thru next Tuesday. I've already got quite a few shows stored on my Tivo. Can't wait to start watching them next week.
  25. Hadn't seen any posts on this topic, so I figure I would remind everyont that it was shark week on the discovery channel. There are some repeat shows from the previous years, but plenty of new stuff too.
