  1. From page 64 of the most recent catalog... what kind of fish is this??? I think it is a Psuedochromis or Dottyback, but I'm not sure. Looks a bit like a miniatus grouper but yellow instead of orange. Thanks. Garrett.
  2. John, are you going to be carrying 24" and 36" VHO bulbs? Garrett.
  3. Happy??? The poor thing was torn in half. How perturbing. Nature can be so cruel. Be that as it may, I thought perhaps a blender could make me a few more "frags". What do you think?
  4. Steve, let me give them a few weeks to heal. I think my maroon is confused. Two is one too many options. Garrett.
  5. I suppose we could consult a geneticist
  6. Three days ago my RBTA, which I've had for about a year and a half and has been through H-E-double hocky sticks and back, split... now I have 2.
  7. Thanks Krish, that is exactly what I have done.
  8. Thanks for the link. I had Grimm drill for one 1-1/2" bulkhead. He talked me out of drilling a hole for my return. I've got some flex tubing for the overflow. Now comes the slow process of picking up a sump, a return pump, the plumbing, building a canopy.... Hopefully in another month of two I can post some pics. Garrett.
  9. Went out of town a few weeks ago and Murphy and his friggin' laws had there say. Needless to say the tank emptied. I was going to get the tank drilled today. I'm not sure what size drains and what size return I should look to add. This will be an LPS only setup. Was thinking about putting in 2 1-1/2" bulkheads to drain and one 1" return using say a mag9.5. Any ideas? Thanks for the help. Garrett.
  10. The Reef Tank has a bunch of them available.
  11. Thanks guys... it was soley my fault. I had a leaky seal that I had halfway repaired. I was planning on taking care of it this weekend coming up. The loses were substantial, but not total. I had a frogspawn about the size of a basketball that didn't make it and my SPS, including a beautiful little pocillopora colony that I got from Don Bui, all perished as well. I have 4 smaller frogspawn colonies that look like they will pull through as well as two fungias, a scolymia, a bubble coral and my RBTA. Of course repairing the tank comes first. No saving graces, but I will be able to set things up a little better this time around. I'm not sure how long my live rock sat out of water. I've got it in a tub of NSW that I had mixed up. I'll throw my skimmer on it and treat it as rock that's been shipped and needs to be cured. Thanks guys. Garrett.
  12. I was out of town this weekend. (We already know where this one is going....) I came home to a tank void of water. That is not entirely true... there was about 3 inches at the bottom. Any frags at the bottom of the tank are somewhat alive... in the ICU. There was one fish survivor and somehow my RBTA is alive for the moment. All invertebrates perished.
  13. Howard, here you go... http://www.reefcentral.com/forums....4219060
  14. A frag of my red w/white polyp gorgonian that I got from Steve at last meeting. This is NOT photosynthetic and needs to be fed. I feed an assortment of Mark Weiss products and Cyclopeeze along with DTs twice per week. Mushrooms - a couple of different green shrooms and some red ones if I can hunt them down. Stomatellas - these are the true "sea bunnies" as far as I am concerned. Mini brittle stars. And chaeto/caulerpa for the fuge. I do have aiptasia in my fuge. Garrett.
  15. I swung by TRT yesterday. Had a bit of a flood. I didn't stay long. The guys were busy cleaning up.
  16. ouch
  17. Phil, congrats on the new tank. I can't believe you are the one that walked away with it. I don't have any ideas where to get a stand. Maybe check with TonyG and see how he had it set up. I'm sure that it would be fairly easy to replicate his stand. If you need a hand, let me know. Garrett.
  18. Jacob, I can bring some macro to the meeting for you. Lots of pod life.
  19. Dave, I'll take one if it's available. How about we trade for one of those Long Spine Urchins that you were interested in. Let me know what you think. Garrett.
  20. Lee, I have two in my 42. If you want one, let me know. I've had them for about 10 months now on an order of rock from Gulf-View. They only knock over frags that aren't glued down. Garrett.
  21. Dave, strombus for ceriths sound good.
  22. Dave, I wouldn't mind a few of your strombus maculatus. Interested in trading for some ceriths and stomatellas? Garrett.
  23. Michael, no problem.
  24. Not much in the way of frags, but I have plenty of chaeto and a number of other macros (non-caulerpa - red grape, graciallaria, etc.). I also have plenty of baby ceriths and lots of stomatellas. I can also capture quite a supply of gammarus if anyone is interested. Garrett.
  25. Bill I don't have much, but you are more than welcome to stop by. I live directly across from Nader's Grocery.
