  1. Tony, if no one takes it by then, it is all yours. Bill, I live downtown on Caroline St. Chris, I don't think my 42G hex can support two of them. No problems that I am aware of, other than the fact that they are clumsy and can knock things over.
  2. Title says it all. I got two of these hitchikers on some Gulf-View LR that I threw in my tank about 8 months ago, which is probably two too many. I'd like to keep one, but the other one is all yours (whomever "you" may be). Conditionally of course... you have to pick up in Fredericksburg. They eat algae and don't bother anything.
  3. I have a 42 hex with about 55 lbs of LR with a gravity fed 30G fuge with another 30 lbs of LR that has been set up for about 15 months. The hex has a pair of GSMs and a firefish goby. I like the three fish, but I wouldn't mind one more. I'd like to add a mandarin, but only if I could provide for it. The other three fish don't eat the pods, but at the same time I don't want to overstock. The tank is crawling with pods, gammarus and mysids.
  4. Eddi, I will be in the area the following weekend. It wouldn't be a problem for me to drop some off. Let me know. Garrett.
  5. Eddi, I've got chaeto, some red grape, some sargassum, some gracillaria and a few other non-caulerpa macros. Let me know what you'd like. I don't have a ton as I just thinned my fuge about a week ago and it is only a 29 gallon, not 125. Let me know. Garrett.
  6. It's nowhere close to the meeting, but it is right on the way for you at about 1/10th of a mile off of 95. Assuming that you'll be coming up 95.
  7. Amber, the Home Depot in Fredericksburg (right off of 95) usually carries it. I had the sku # about a year ago when I went through holy heck trying to locate some. I'll see if I can hunt it down. Garrett.
  8. Thanks again Eddi for picking up the BTA for me from Dr. Mac. It has acclimated well even though the premnas like to beat the heck out of it.
  9. Hey Eddi, I'd like to jump in on this. Garrett.
  10. Thanks Eddi for hosting. I dropped some of the food into the tank when I got hom last night at everything went crazy. I forgot to grab a copy of the recipe from you though. Garrett.
  11. I'd like to come if there's room. What should I bring besides cash? thanks. Garrett
  12. 42 gallon tank - 30 gallon refugium
  13. Looking for a BTA clone for my new pair of GSMs to host in. Thanks.
  14. you may want to try www.hirocks.com. I got an order of 30# of this stuff. very nice, very porous. I think it was 43$ shipped.
  15. I'm in the process of setting up a 30G refugium for my 55. The 55 has been up and running for about four months now. After a hectic initial cycle in which I had no clue what I was doing, everything has come around nicely (thanks to the helpful reefers on wamas.org). I've just added 50lbs of SD and my water. I'm going to throw in 10# +/- of live sand here in the next day or so. I've got a refugium culture kit on hold which will be shipped as soon as I'm ready..... My question is, when will I be ready? Should I let the fuge go through a cycle with the live sand/rock before adding the culture kit? When should I hook up the pump to my main tank in order to start reaping the benefits? Thanks.
  16. Craig, I would really appreciate it. I've got about a 6-7" dsb at the moment and I can't think but how bare it looks without any life to inhabit it. I've been lookin online at these detrivore kits and 60-99 bucks sounds a bit steep on a teachers salary. Perhaps we could make arrangements when it's conveinient for you. Thanks for the help. 17. I'm in the process of cycling my tank and I was wondering if anyone had any sand that they might be willing to part with to help my seed my dsb. Any help would be much appreciated.
  18. I'm looking for a couple of bags of southdown. I've contacted pretty much every home depot within an hour and a half of Fredericksburg. Anyone know where I can get some or does anyone have a couple of extra bags that they'd be willing to part with. Thanks
