  2. Just had this happen. Killed about 10 sps peices. Lucky the other 250 sps peices are fine. My magnets were around 5 years old
  3. Ebay... Changed mine to all blue and red both channels. Have spares if you need them
  4. I agree every tank has ich... I qt all my fish. They go threw a tough process before they make it to my tank. Last fish I noticed it was a koi tank no one in the tank had ich.. even new koi tang. Next day everyone had ich. Stress adding new fish caused it. Next day ich was gone on all fish including koi. That being said I believe it's in there all the time even tough they are healthy and happy it's still present.
  5. It's not going to happen i will deal with the small minor scratches lol
  6. Look into olive oil instead of air compressor oil...
  7. That's not the only concern. It's the oil in the air compressor that's the concern....i really don't see the plastic being a issue. As we talked about in our pms I would really feel better if someone takes responsiblily when doing the tank. not me being responsible. Stuff happens and I just want the bases to be covered. Not saying something would but to me that extra $ is worth spending.. You ever watch the fail videos... kinda like that u can do something hundreds of times only takes 1 fail. And on my tank I won't,can't risk it.
  8. My major concern is it's live stock and their well being.
  9. Yeah I don't have time to actually do it. Cause when I do play with the tank it's maintaining it and would just prefer to pay to have it done. It will probably be a 1 day project and will need a da.
  10. Who in the nova does acrylic repair. I have a few scratches and would like to have the tank sanded and buffed not possible to rip the tank down. Will have to be full with live stock... anyone have any suggestions?
  11. That or you stare at your tank daily and don't notice the growth. Leave it for 2 weeks and comeback and they got bigger. + dirty water
  12. 300.. eaither you didn't do it rite or ur dkh is 17 lol. You are way above high. Ppm 125-196 range
  13. Last time I was there he was actually talking about doing something like this.. so a mod should actually reach out to him.
  14. I have 4 in my tank at one time.3 males 1 female.. I had a video of them dancing at nite . Had 2 get rid of 2 of the males getting hostile.. the female got sucked into a mp60. One male going great... I've seen them pick up pellets spit them back out. But never actually keep them down. Pods hunts all day long. Mine will eat frozen mysis.. but that's about it and has to be in the sand rite in front of it. It will not go out of its way to get it like the rest of the fish.
  15. Do not put freeze dried in the feeder they seem to just float and make it to the overflow. Add a little water to them Will clump a bit but will sink. When I feed freeze dry I actually take a pinch and sink it under water in front of mp60 and let it do its magic or il soak it before adding if I'm feeling like taking the extra time to do it. Some times I feed once every 3 days the one weekends 6 7 times. My fish are nice and fat and healthy now I only do this when my phos are high or low. All depends how the tank looks or what numbers say. I'd have no fear of leaving my tank for a weekend. Would I still worry yes.. like someone else said you should have plenty of pods some alage too pick at and they will be fine
  16. I feed freeze dried krill. All my fish love it just like mysis. It don't go bad (that I'm aware of) I leave it sit out. I also feed flakes green and red, ns pellets, frozen mysis, frozen krill, frozen brine, frozen blood worms, Each say they get a new item. When I go on vacation or away for the weekend they get the auto feeder with anyone of the dry items
  17. The water is a must for the ca kiyou. I've only had great experience with hanna. They stand behind their products also.
