  1. Awesome tank...!!! I can't wait to put stuff in mine. Love the setup and layout...
  2. Sea Slug. I wanna play.. not from my tank but from Chuuk...
  3. I was told to do it by Primo... I specifically mentioned that during the calls I had with him. I think I will be good to go...
  4. UPDATE --- First I would like to thank the WAMAS community for their concern with my leaking sump. For those that missed the Emergency Post in general, Just before I was scheduled to leave town last Sunday I noticed a small leak in the lower right rear corner. We went into panic mode since my flight out was at 8am. We drained liquid welded, filled, drained filled, and the water kept leaking. My time on the west coast was spent trying to talk my wife ( THANK YOU ) through a series of taking apart trying things and putting back together. No success. I took the red eye home this morning and after a short nap starting taking things apart. Adam from Artfully Acrylics stopped by for a house call and we talked through numerous issues. We used some WaterWeld to temporary patch the leaking area. I am talking to the manufacture of the sump..... with my not so happy hat on. As of right now. Water is flowing again. Temps and salinity are being adjusted.. AND the CAPS on are on TV.. So Im out...... THANKS AGAIN everyone for their concern and HELP.. Richie/Penny
  5. Thanks I will call him now. He was next on my list.... Yes nothing in the tank... I tried AA and didn't grt an answer on there line... Banging my head on the desk..........
  6. Any specific vendor do you know of? Can't seem to get anyone on the phone...
  7. Located in Manassas, VA - close to the airport. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
  8. Help needed.. I took off for Vegas for work and my sump started leAking. Wife is home, drained the pump section.. Any acrylic experts out there that can assist?
  9. Thanks Rob.. So far so good.. I keep triple checking everything. I got the ATO set up today and triple checked it. Liking the way everything is up and running now. Watching the tank cycle now..
  10. UPDATE -- Added the 30lbs Miracle Mud to the fuge area with no issues.. The trays that i had made worked out perfectly. I added three pieces of Chaeto as well. Hooked up the EcoTech Reeflink to the MP60s as well as the battery backup to one of the pumps. Salinity is at 1.025 Temp is holding at 77... Been playing with the APEX trying to get to know it better.. Other than that is waiting time..... ..... zzz zzzz Have a good weekend everyone. Richie
  11. Thanks for stopping by Eric. The salinity has stabilized at 1.025, apex is still behind but climbing. I moved the left side mp 60 controller out of the cabinet as suggested. I will move the right one tomorrow, I started watching hockey and you know what happened then. Will find a piece of live rock this weekend and let the tank cook.... Will be a long summer of looking at nothing...
  12. Yes, You are right Eric... I put the MP60s on 70%. Let it run over night, this morning the top tank and lower tank read the same.. The APEX is still running behind on its reading though but it is creeping up. I will have to make slow adjustments from here on out. See you soon. Richie
  13. Question for the group.... I calibrated the salinity probe. I think I did it correct from everything that I read and viewed online. I have 3 salinity measurements devices and getting two different readings. I have a hydrometer and that reads 1024... The refract one give the same.. and the probe that came with the apex reads 25.2 which is much lower. Can the top tank have a different salinity level than the sump? I tested the water in the sump and in fact it's reading lower than the tank? I turned the mp 60s to get more water movement... I'm kinda thrown for a loop on this one... Thoughts?
  14. Update --- Turned on the main pump this evening and after a brain fart or two, Eric talked me off the ledge. Thank you again.. Water is flowing through the sump, even with the holes that I had to drill out, and back into the main tank.. I've shut it down a couple of time to check out how much water goes back down and everything seems to check out. Thank you rob for the pvc assistance, not one leak knock on wood... Yet. Haha I plugged up the apex and did the software update, got the probes and heater hooked up. Tomorrow I will work to get the salinity correct. Even got the text alert working for the heater part.... thanks to everyone for the words of encouragement and compliments...
  15. Looks Awesome!! Cant wait to see it live.
  16. Tank is full and water flowing to the sump.... getting closer. Turned on the two MP60s to get some water movement up top and put a case of salt in.
  17. Dinos? Can you explain? sorry don't mean to be such a newbie.. thanks.. Richie
  18. Thank you for the compliments. The granite is actually cut around the tank. The recessed tank is sitting on foam, then a 3/4 inch board, then the supporters.... The tank is perfectly level and I definitely keep checking and now double checking with the heavier load. Believe me when I say I have lost a bit of sleep on this one... The bottom of the tank is glass. Will post some more pics tomorrow, when I get home from flying... Thanks, Richie
  19. Still dripping.. Hope everyone is enjoying a nice Saturday. Richie
