UPDATE ---- Here we go!!!! Hooked up the RODI system today. Thanks Eric for your assistance. Had a tiny air leak that was causing me to think that there wasn't enough pressure from the main. After going over the lines I found the tiny whistle... Pressure shot up to 70. Put Sand and Rocks in the tank and tightened the pipes.. Cleaned up and now enjoying a cold one at BAR RICHIE Notice the red glow of LEDs around the bottom of the bar..

So what do you use? if you don't use caulerpa?

Update--- Driving up 95 after my wife and I stopped at the show today. Our first reef show and it was a lot of fun. We spent some time with Marco/Rich from ERC.. Great to meet you guys... Can't wait to start working a stocking plan for the tank with you. Rich I will work on some CAPS tickets and let you know soon, the schedule was released this afternoon. We took a ton of pictures in which I will post as soon as i get the heck out of this car.. Haha... GPS has us getting home at 1:57am.. We also met Bret and wade from tanked.. All the vendors were friendly and offered great advise... Tanks again ERC... Richie and Penny

Happy Saturday Everyone. Shout out to Rob (zygote2k ) for his PVC craftsmanship and expertize . Spent the last few hours PVC'ing the tank.. One step closer to getting the cycle going. Because of some up coming travel, I wont get to put water in it for a couple more weeks. BUT ITS ready!!!!

Definitely like the nice and clean look. I thought about daisy chaining them together but then I would have the same cables just wrapped up I will mess around with it a bit more down the road. if they had 6 inch cables it would have been cleaner.. Thanks! Richie

Had some free time last night so I started mounting the APEX up in the side cabinet. Tempted to plug it in .. but there is still no water in the thank.. Rob is coming out today to assist with PVC'ing the set up.

I still have my wet / dry sump in my shed from the early 90s... and i found a brand new pump that i will use for my mixing station. Wett Dry filters with a protein skimmer and lots of live rock was the original way i was taught.. Good luck!

Over the next couple of weeks, I am looking to get a crash course on the APEX Gold.. Can anyone out there lend a hand? I do have to go out of town next wednesday for a few days.. but when i get back I am looking to fill my tank... I was wondering if/when you set up the APEX do you do it in stages? Heaters? Probe's? Pumps?? or do you just jump right in and do everything at once...?? Also saw where it controlled a float in a protein skimmer over flow to shut it off when its full... I havent cracked the book ( YET ).. Maybe i should start.. Thoughts, Experts, Chime in... Thanks, Richie
