  1. flow has a lot to do with the size of ric's. Generally, the lower/gentler the flow, the bigger the ric's open up and grow.
  2. NanoBox hybrid. Best LED array on the market and t5.
  3. This was Saturday. It was 27* at sunrise for these pictures, but went up to 50-55ish. These were edited on iPhone. Fallen Leaf Lake by Brad Baldwin, on Flickr Selfie at Fallen Leaf by Brad Baldwin, on Flickr Splash by Brad Baldwin, on Flickr

  7. Because reef people love windex blue tanks. I have a T5/LED hybrid and run 2 6700k T5 bulbs. The overall color of the tank mixed with the LED's, is between 6700-10k. Very nice crisp white color.
  8. I added a Jebao RW4 last night; that little thing can move some water. The tank currently has MP10, Jebao WP10, and Jebao RW4, very impressed with the flow and there is 0 noise. I got rid of the noisy MP10 on the mangrove side.
  9. Appreciate it! Bummed they didn't take what I thought was my best picture, but cool to be a finalist. ______________ Water is taking foreverrrrr to clear. I probably should have cleaned the glass too... This is why I say everyone needs the Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART. Focus point was that little spot of water in the middle
  10. I would really appreciate it if anyone could take a minute and follow this link and like my picture. I am a finalist in "The Great Outdoors" film photography contest and have a chance to win a medium format film camera. https://www.facebook.com/thedarkroomlab/photos/a.1073600926024215.1073741864.143458852371765/1073601106024197/?type=3 Thank you!
  11. Some type of hybrid lighting. 1. Reefbrite makes a led/halide combo 2. NanoBox has a t5/led combo 3. Giesemann are always top notch 4. ATI t5 fixture with some reefbrite LED bars
  12. Light is on 50% power. Even at this level it takes my eyes a while to correct after looking away. Much brighter than the 70w halide. Light is hung on an angle on purpose.
  13. Yea it was rodi but I tried blaming it on the condo building. Honest mistake. I really didn't remember I flooded the bathroom like a month prior.
  14. Insurance. Got me new wood floors fo free.
  15. If you're serious about mangroves, this is a good thread to read http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/332527-mangrovesaquariums-and-you/
  16. It needs a whole lot more light than that to really thrive. How tall is that mangrove? It looks way too long and stretching for light. You want nice compact growth. Mine do 12-14 hours a day directly under a halide.
  17. Thanks. Little scattered islands with sps and gorgonians will fill in the left side.
  18. After night 1: Will finish filling the tank and get the sump hooked up tonight
