I have a common blue and black one for close to a year and he eats anything I throw in the tank. The other fish don't mind him except for my dogface puffer because he won't leave him alone I suppose because of the slimecoat on the puffer

I have it growing on my overflow and back glass and I like it, better looking then then the glass

I had a tank set up like that for years with 3/4 plywood and never had a issue. Go for it you won't have a problem -

I tried whole shrimp,nothing doin! If I chop them up he eats them right out of my hand

I lost a large birdnest under the same circumstances, started dyeing and within a week it was dead. my water parametes checked out ok. Everything else is doing great. I had an anomnae that was moving around alot and I thought that is what got it. To this day I have trouble with birdnest but everything else is doing great

these braces weren't glued they were solid part of the top frame. I'm not sure I would trust the silicone, mine seems to have a little pressure on them

The tank was completly level all the way around with my two foot level when I set it up and remaned level when it was full. The light was a cheapo two bulb t5 since there are no coral in the tank. I'm glad it wasn't an expensive set up.
