  1. man, that sucks. if you want, I'll relocate some of your zoos to my tank for safekeeping
  2. have had 2 different blue throats over the years. never a problem with them. great reef citizen and planktivore ime.
  3. there are a few of us. what do you want to do?
  4. i knew there was a catch. Happy to help. Just let me know when.
  5. I've always thought that a cool tank would be a fish only with live rock with mainly angels and butterflies, with soft corals and mushrooms thrown in (basically anything that doesn't get eaten). Your present equipment list would easily support this and if you decided to do another direction, get more water motion and a brighter light and go SPS.
  6. miracles is in canada but they make great tanks. very good product support as well from what i've seen.
  7. I just feed mine whatever I feed the fish. I usually target them and the fish get everything they don't catch. The fish have become very good at stealing from the NPS.
  8. you could. That's what I did with a couple of mine (I think there's a good pic of it). I'm going to do it with a black sun coral I have that still doesn't put out polyps regularly as well.
  9. my dendros and tubastrea seem to really like being glued upside down. they immediately put out polyps and stay out almost 24/7 when upside down. Plus they don't need light so you may want to try that. The tank looks great! the acan and favia look great. May want to pull those bubble algae out before they spread. should be able to pull them out intact.
  10. Dan, I'm starting up a freshwater planted tank as well. Happy to trade notes if you want. Roni
  11. very kind gesture Too bad people like you are getting out of the hobby. If you reconsider, maybe being part of the club will get your interest up again. If not, I'm sure a school will be ecstatic to get a setup like yours!
  12. if you've got a lid, flasher wrasses, yashi hashi gobies, and pearly jawfish are some of my favorites. A possum wrasse is another fish that's very cool. any shrimp goby pair would be fun. a pygmy or flameback angel is a another small tank fish I really like.
  13. lol. I'm sure people are just awestruck. Very nice tank. I still need to meander over and rid you of some of your excess corals
  14. Sounds like you've been busy! Things will grow back slowly. You're also welcome to some frags once I get a little growth on my corals
  15. cancel your order :_)
  16. Cool. How strong are the aqua-mags? Did you get the jr or the regular size? Gonna order some today. Might be a nice place to have some encrusting montis grow on there.
  17. If the tour is going as far south as woodbridge, i can throw in my tank in a couple months. Right now its occasionally painful to look at :(
  18. Steve, I've got nearly the same pic. I'll have to do a diffent submission I guess. It was definitely a scary moment Roni
  19. Congrats! Having seen this tank in person, the picture (no matter how nice), doesn't do the tank justice. Very, very nice tank
  20. quick question....how did you attach those rocks to the wall?
  21. Agree. I've found Fins and Feathers to have comparable prices to mail order. Plus, Sean quarantines. I've used Live Aquaria in the past with success as well.
  22. funny you should ask: http://www.wamas.org/forums/topic/43202-avast-you-built-party-and-group-buy-open-until-20-may/page__pid__364111__st__0entry364111
  23. Sounds like an ordeal. Maybe post in FS/WTB about the tank?
