Really nice picture :-) Seeing your pic tells me that (if this is an efflo) I have a soli - I can see the difference now.

We should figure out how to do something like that. Even a reef safe way of marking the bottom of the rock or plug that the coral is mounted on.

I need to follow this thread :-) I don't have a clue as to what most of my corals are and I especially don't remember where I got most of them. There are a few memorable ones that I can say who I got it from, but as to what type of SPS they are, I don't know. I keep a log of what it was sold/given to me as and where I got a frag. So why don't I know? Some of the corals change colors after I put them in my tank (lighting/different salt?), many changed colors when I switched tanks, in other instances maybe a parameter changed (kalc reactor stopped working and it took some time to get things stable again w/2 part) and some started to STN so they've been fragged and started all over again, and then there's the problem of changing colors when I move them to the QT/frag tank :-( Some I think I can ID using a book like Corals of the World, but I'm still just guessing. Chip - you know about flower tags - why can't you come up with a "frag tag" :-)

I have a bottle that I don't use but I'm not sure how old it is. You're welcome to it. Why do you "need" Lugols in a hurry? It's pretty strong stuff.

One night around12:30 - 1:00 am I'm standing in front of the tank and the mandarins start their mating dance. They go up, they go down, not paying any attention to where they are. Next thing I know, they are bumping bellies and pushing each other and one gets too close to the Tunze and get's stuck to it!! Couldn't pull away either. I had to run behind the tank and pull the plug on the Tunze to release it. I was glad I happened to be standing there. I don't know if it would have made it through the night and needless to say, that put a damper on the lovemaking :-)

"Is your anemone in a PVC tube or just in sand bed? Other question - will 2 Tube Anemones sting each other or not? Now I'm thinking a garden!" When I got the orange one I just put in on the sand bed and it slowly worked it's foot deep into the sand bed. It has a very long, soft (as opposed to the hard coco worm shell/tube) tube. It never shed the original tube. I have the same question about putting 2 or more together because I'm made space around the orange one and any other one would have to go in the same area.

I've had an orange one (which seems to e the easiest to find) for quite a while. They need room though. They are also the only worm/tube anemone type thing in my tank that the Copperband hasn't eaten (yet) :-(

and it's not just the tanks - it's the entire new space for his hobby :-) Great way make tank space but still add value to your home if you move!!

and he even helps you load stuff in your car at Home Depot :-)

Hi Guys, Approximately how long a drive is it?

The pics are fabulous as always :-) - but I just don't get the zoa craze. Maybe it will it me all of a sudden - like the lovebug!!!

I have 3 "linkias" - purple (newest one about one month), blue and orange (have had for maybe a year) and I've never fed them anything and they don't bother anything either.

Nice tank and nice pics :-)

Love that new wrasse! If I wasn't full up on wrasses I would definitely consider one.
