  1. If anyone hosts their tank pics on photobucket back them up ASAP. They are making changes so your pictures that are hosted on photobucket on this forum and others will be broken, unless you pay $400 per year. This will mean no more going back through old picture and build threads. https://www.buzzfeed.com/katienotopoulos/photobucket-just-killed-a-chunk-of-internet-history?utm_term=.ahpgOOrlww#.ttgNjjzJ22
  2. Nice setup. I'm setting up a Nuvo 10 too. How do you like the Kessil? I have the stock light and it's not blue enough for me.
  3. Everything but the large leather has been sold If anyone is interested in the leather I'm asking $75 obo
  4. He is reef safe and has never caused any problems but he is pending sale. I'll let you know if the deal falls through
  5. The tank lights are off so I'll have to take more pics tomorrow if you need to see anything else.
  6. I don't have much free time so I want to sell everything to 1 buyer for a good price. $350 Obo for all the coral fish and rock. I'm holding on to the equipment for now since I might get back in someday. Note: The tank does have some aiptasia and some valonia but it's kept under control. Tank contents: At least 80 lbs of live rock (nice big pieces) Fish: 1 flame angel 1 yellow coris wrasse 1 Bengai Cardinal 1 blue with yellow tail damsel 2 mated clowns (female onyx male ocellaris) 1 show size toadstool leather about 10" across 1 neon green cabbage leather 3.5" across 80+ heads of branching hammer corals (1 colony of Aussie highlighter) 1 6" photo synthetic gorgonian At least 250 zoanthids 2 orange Florida ricordea 1 quarter sized green polyp toadstool http://s27.photobucket.com/user/cwbashaw/media/93%20cube/9D60AD82-1AD3-4352-94D1-86FC6DBA3B43_zpsaha2jwuk.jpg.html
  7. I had a similar problem a few months ago, and once I got serious about fixing it, it didn't take much. Here's what I did: Beefed up my cleaning crew Replaced my or membrane Added a brs gfo reactor Then I did 50% water change and picked as much algae off the rocks and glass as possible. The algae that was left turned brown so I did another water change and it came off really easily. After that The algae hasn't come back.
  8. Thanks I'll try to keep up with updates a little more often than once every 2 years
  9. It's too bad the angel is bothering it. I hope my flame leaves mine alone he's been good so far. My clowns have been hosting in my green sinularia so it hasn't grown at all in 2 years but my frag from it on the other side of the tank is growing fast.
  10. I'm way overdue posting updates here I was fighting a hair algae problem so I had to make some changes to my setup. I switched to an eshopps r200 sump so I could use filter socks, then I added a maxspect gyre 130 for more flow, and beefed up my cleaning crew. I also switched to t5's and have been getting great growth. It's still a work in progress but it's really coming together. I got this leather as a tiny frag from flooddc a few years ago, now it's one of my favorite corals.
  11. That's too bad I had no idea they were discontinued. I guess it's a good thing I'm switching to t5.
  12. Have you looked into the 14k Phoenix? I'm running one on an icecap supplemented with LEDs and love the color. I'm switching over to t5's this week so If you want to come by and see it or even try it over your tank let me know.
  13. Nice setup. It looks like you're doing everything right the first time. I went with a diy sump on my 93 cube and recently upgraded to a real sump. It's so much better. I'm looking forward to seeing how this one comes out.
  14. Thanks for the input. I ended up ordering a Hamilton 6x24 t5 this morning and I'm sure I'll switch a few bulbs over to ati to get the color I want.
  15. Your tank looks great. What was your reason for changing from t5 to LED? I'm thinking of getting ride of my halide led combo and putting ati t5's over my 93cube. Is there any reason I shouldn't?
  16. I have a cs-1 on my 93 cube and I couldn't be happier. I haven't added a swabbie yet but it;s in the future plans. I would go with the CS-1 personally since the XS uses the smaller psk600 pump, and the cs uses the 1000. I would think you should get a little more out of it.
  17. You do some awesome work. I love the look of your stand. That same bonsai tank picture was my inspiration to have an overhang in my 93 cube and I'm really happy with it. It's the first time I've ever had an aquascape that I didn't feel like I needed to change.
  18. I have started to do 5G water changes 5 days a week instead of 25 every 2 weeks, and seem to look much healthier.
