Whoa! Now I have to come to your house!

My new pimped out sump. Middle compartment is a refugium with a divider should I find a reason for dividing my refugium (mantis shrimp or frag tank?). Right hand compartment has bulkheads for my existing skimmer to hook up to. Left hand compartment is the return/dosing/carbon area.

I wouldn't frag that yet... it looks like there is not enough bone to cut right now... if you just cut the polyp it will die...

I noticed mine eating flake food with everyone else this morning.

I have had one in my tank for 4-6 months now. I have a 220 gallon tank with 20+ fish. I dont notice him eating flake but he is constantly in the hunt looking for something to eat.

I can't wait until they get all the coral tanks back online... right now I believe there is one out of three running but that was when I was there a week or two ago...

he ate frozen mysis so I guess my tank gets frozen food for a while... the lps were going nuts! Thanks Doug.. looking forward to golf this week.

One of my clowns had a wound on him last week (looks like someone stuck a knife in him... tang tail?) The wound seems to have gotten alot better but now he is acting sick and laying on the ground. He is also very skinny. Can I do anything for him? I am about 90% sure he is about to die. On another note, my hippo tang jumped into the overflow this morning when I was looking at the tank.... lucky fish...

Doug, that sucks! Your tank was major inspiration for my tank. I have ALOT of your corals, give me a heads up when you are ready to restock!

Lol... some other contraption that will kill your tank... Rob you are funny... ! I use a dosing pump on a timer that pumps through a kalk reactor. Basically you only have to refill the reactor 1 time per week or so and you dont have to mess with mixing a kalk solution daily... I use the timer to avoid a top off switch (which can fail leading to a kalk over dose, what Rob is talking about). It's all about how safe your top off set up is... many people have kalk overdoses... especially in wamas... that leads to a disaster... so you have to be careful. Kalk makes your PH jump quickly. My ph goes from 8.4 to 8.8 when dosing kalk. I would be worried dosing all day as it may increase PH too much...

I just ordered a custom sump!!! I decided to see what NAGA can do... ever since I saw a few tanks he made at a WAMAS meeting I have wanted him to make my sump... Hopefully part of it will go towards the money he owes ArtC. Also understand that threads like this are scary for vendors... it has probably cost him thousands of dollars and certainly didn't make it easier to pay back art!!

I dont know but I would do another w/c. Sometimes my zoanthids just die. Not sure why... but I would like to know...

Lol I was just there too!!!! I got a setosa frag, grinch frag, cali tort frag.... I had them shipped up with the same experience as you. They left WWC at 745pm and arrived here around 8am! I will say that their website doesn't have half the stuff in the store, which is disappointing!
