rigid airline with a piece of thick (real thick- but not thicker than the hole of rigid airline) fishing wire/ or some plastic twine. but the plastic twine inthe airline, and knot the twine at the top and put a piece of food on the bottom, give it to the nem, but if the clowns are hosting then they will feed it.. i believe.. and um as long as you feed the tank or turkey baster it in the general area, it will get food

the energy efficient light bulbs are the same, and those are awful too and you are actually NOT supposed to throw those or smash those either... ya know the phrase, mad hatter, or mad as a hatter... its because they put mercury on the tops of their hats and it would seep through and mess with their head or brain or cause them to go crazy...or what ever mercury does to you!!

i mean petco has nice 90gl aquariums that are unique. what do u mean by unique though? interesting shape, not rectangular, or just specially made..

:P dont worry! that would include lotion- which im paranoid about lol-- so i always wash my hands before putting them in the tank-- cuz i normally have lotion on (ceramix really drys your hands up... gotta take care of them :D) im a little paranoid about a lot of things... haha but better safe than sorry? or am i just crazy? Not like 5ml of tap is gonna make me sorry in a 40gl tank.... but i take mol bio and it only takes ONE bacteria! hahaha between that and food trends, one starts to become a germaphobe anyways i just thought this was interesting to discuss...

So as i sit here applying nailpoish to well... my nails.. i was wondering what type of things are harmful to a tank that you carry with you everywhere you go.. on your hands can nail polish for one be harmful... (g-d forbid i kill mike jr.) or what about jewlery? silver/gold/ nickle/ stainless steel? what metals should you undress before doing tank work... haha this might be silly/stupid but im always scared of putting my hands in after i wash my hands (for one the soap, ) because its tap that you wash them with.. (or i dont like to wash the skimmer, i just wipe it down for the same reason. ) what about ink. how much do u have to wash ink off your hands before its safe to work in the tank. I sometimes wear arm length gloves but not always... and i just dont want to hurt anything in my tank or any of the Zoo tanks.... thought this might be interesting.. maybe its just me though haha

that is a very good question... that i dont know the answer to.... i will get on that now :D EDIT: 13watts would i be better off getting a clamp light from strosnieders or something

So i was gonna breack down my 10gl dwarf seahorse tank, and move my three horses to a 2gl.. now I dont know if this will work, but i wanted to have a zoa gardenin the tank, and a seafan for hitching. basically i was wondering if i could use compact flourescents in such a small tank to grow zoos

haha my tank and marine experience is what i hope to get me into college and a job in the future!!! :D not to steer you in the wrong direction! I had aspired to saltwater when i was in 6th grade but wasnt able to start till 9thgrade, so i spent those 3 years soaking up all the knowlege i could get a hold of! but yes, do some research (its fun!) and ask many questions!! these people are great !

yea i think thats what someone at the zoo was telling me to do today hmm i think what im gonna do is eith contine the sump build (all i need is a light) and break down my seahorse tank and put my seahorses in the 2gl tank, and use the 10gl they are already in as a water mixer/storage. idk i'll figure it all out.. thanks though

Hey so i was currently separating a part of my 10gl sump for a refugium when i remembered that i have a 2gl tank that i could use, is there anyway of adding my 2gl tank to the sump or normal tank as a fuge? do they make mini return pumps? that i could use and then siphon water into the tank, or would it overflow? thanks in advance!

eeek i need to get my gorrila crab out of my tank!! its prolly the size of a dime or nickle right now, though i kee seeing molts everywhere, (stone crabs are soo pretty) im going crab hunting tonight...
