  1. Thanks for the offer!!! hm I do have a few spare tanks around the house, that I could set up for a little while I guess, And just do a lot of water changes.
  2. Hey guys, it seems like a VERY long time since i have been on, and well i have been neglecting my tank quite a bit as well. But I have made the decision of partially tearing down my tank and starting over. But I need someone to house my 4 fish if possible? Preferably I wouldlike to scrub every rock, add more sand, add more rock, and let my tank re cycle. My algae has gotten WAY out of hand, and i feel starting from the beginning, with superb water chemistry, with ALL the chemical tests is the way to go, as well as covering up the sides of the tank exposed to the window. So if anyone has any extra tank room (Also preferably in the Bethesda area), please let me know ASAP! I would like to start this project ASAP. I have 2 clownfish 1 tailspot blenny 1 purple firefish PLEASE!!! and thank you. I appreciate any help i can get. --Sara
  3. so this morning i found my beautiful brain coral 90% bleached..... this really bumms me out all my other corals look perfectly normal-- so like aaahh im gonna do a water change right now gr-- i also think the last time i scrubbed my tank down- i removed a lot of the bacteria from the rock and started a new cycle but like my corals looked fine until i saw the brain-- idk OH an mr ousnakebyte...... you gave me an aptasia....... thank you ( but thank you seriously for those zoas.... just not the aptasia... should i kalk it?)
  4. i love the wood color-- its looks nice as is-- but correct me if im mistaken if you paint (by brush) than i believe treating or priming it may be a good way to go if its not entirely needed... but i would think an antique varnish (stain?) would look really beautiful also-- (not brown but a black one-- but that gets real messy i think.. not sure haha) looks really nice!!
  5. MORE PICTURES !!! Before after another big cleanup i rearragned the rockwork--- again i like this a lot better now (second pic it might look funny in the pic but in person its really nice) still geting hit by algae bad-- ummm im gonna pick up about 30 astrea snail-- cuz i currently have 1 turbo and 1 astrea- and unfortunately they arent doing the job as mike h suggests i should get a phosphate reactor---- which i will prolly do next month or so thats all for now
