GSP dying. Brown noted on them. Acros are ok. Any suggestions

If you're running ultra low nutrient, my experience is that they just don't last.  I can't keep em if I have traditional SPS quality water.

For example, in my current tank I'm bare bottom, high flow, huge skimmer, actively growing fuge, running UV, carbon, floss, socks.  It's a very clean system.  SPS is growing, but zoas and gsp just fade away.  It's like I'm trying too hard to keep the SPS happy.

Do they require higher flow? I recently turned off an MP10 because there are snail eggs all over it

I’ll try increased feeding. There is a separate frag of the GSP flourishing in same tank

Try taking a turkey baster and blowing them off... sometimes there is algae or other stuff that covers them up

+1 or wipe it off with your fingers and put in a place with more flow and light.

Just wanted to follow up. They somehow bounced back today and were open for once! I took everyone’s advice so I don’t know which advice was key. (Or maybe all of it together worked)
