gmerek2 April 20, 2015 April 20, 2015 (edited) Desjardini sailfin tang eating bubble algae like candy. The rock came from my sump. I should mention that these fish need a 200g or larger tank. for smaller tanks I have seen emerald crabs do good work. Edited April 20, 2015 by gmerek2
smallreef April 20, 2015 April 20, 2015 Can we just bring you rock to keep him fed? Wouldn't want the poor baby to starve, lol (p.s. why does it like to be on the freaking powerheads! Ugh... )
Orion April 20, 2015 April 20, 2015 I have had success with a tomini tang and one spot foxface combo. Tank is completely clean of bubble algae!
wildcrazyjoker81 April 21, 2015 April 21, 2015 My mag foxface doesn't allow algae to grow anywhere in my tank. It is really nice to be bubble algae and GHA free
AlanM April 21, 2015 April 21, 2015 I actually do like the red bubble algae. Cool orange dots on it. It doesn't grow in the display, but does grow in my bucket based chaeto factory.
JR-Tanked150 April 21, 2015 April 21, 2015 I have seen a purple tang eat bubble algae. But the tang wanted you to hold the rock for him. Lol
gmerek2 April 23, 2015 Author April 23, 2015 I apparently have lazy tangs! uhg what a nightmare. I don't know what I will do when this bad boy dies. It is cool how its free food for him another free food source he loves is chaeto and spinach!
