It's really great looking.  Now that you've had the mame for a while, do you still like it?

What happened to the lps islands on the bottom, btw?  I thought they were cool.  Are the lps frags still on rocks or you add more sand or just down off the rocks or maybe just the photo angle?

Mame is great, it is silent. I have also never cleaned it, and it still looks pretty good.

I've ditched the LPS islands, gonna glue them low on the rock. I am getting a nice large Pink Tip Elegance from Richard that will be the only thing on the sand.

I've never seen an elegance coral looking like that with those kind of tips.  Really amazing, and I hope he charged you an arm and a leg for it. 8)

Beautiful. That a nice elegance.

These are completely unedited. The FTS shot could look a little more of a crisper white if I had time to adjust the white balance. This is with the 6700k t5's on, plus led's set to mostly just the blue. Perfect combo.

is that gas pipe?

Probably. Been using it to hang lighting fixtures for years.

Nice! How do you keep the sand that shiny?

I rake it. Not even kidding. I take my big glass scraper and run it along the sand to even it out and keep it fresh.

I bet that gets old fast. I'm going barebottom forever, but I LOVE the look of sand. Just more trouble than its worth, IMO. Looks good, love that the clowns hosted the elegance.

Nope. It stays even and nice on its own, just do a quick take before taking pictures.

What trouble do you run into with sand?

Just get's super dirty, and every time I move or break down a tank it's twice as hard with the sand at the bottom. Bare bottom shows me exactly what's there, and I can just siphon out at the detritus as I water change. It probably has to do with the fact that I feed a lot. I've always been jealous of the people who can keep nice white gorgeous looking sand.

Nothing really happening with this tank. I glued the elegance to the rock yesterday, and added a nice sized plate. Also added 3 longspine cardinals yesterday.

Yea, I had a completely different vision for the scape walking into the ADA store. Then found that piece of branch.

nice. I like to light. I went to nano box hybrid to look for that light but can't find how much it cost.

I believe it is $1000 for the version I have, 2t5's and 4 led pucks. Dave uses the nano-reef forum to keep everyone up to date and has pricing. I know he's looking into creating a better website.

Thanks let me look at the nano-reef forum for more information. btw, how many watts is the led and what configuration is it?
