I have read on RC that the existing T-5 ballast can be wired to turn the light on in pairs vs (4) bulbs at a time. I will use this configuration until I get a pair of dimmable ballast.

Nice, so you're just going the outer T5 bulbs with the LEDs in the middle?

Correct

Sweet!

I have a Tek and always wanted to do something similar.  Do you plan to use the fixture power cord?

Yes I will use the power cords for the T5s and control them with my Apex.

Got everything measured up wanted to keep as much reflector area as possible to assist with par. Debating on method to secure Radions. Taking removal and manual control if required.

Why have the radions in there at all? Wouldn't it be easier/simpler to just have all T5s in the TEK unit and call it a day? And use the radions for T5 bulb money? Do the radions add anything to the T5s? I'd think the T5's would potentially drown out the radion LED output anyway?

No the TEK light runs cool to the touch with out a fan. I will install fans later to draw the heat from both ends. That said most people dont realize if you run T-5s too cool they never reach max PAR.

Looks great, bud. I was about to say, let me know when you start cutting. I installed 2 5' bulbs on the outside of my 150 with the 2 G3Pros in the middle, will have to update with pics once the inlaws are gone.

I feel like this was a super fast mod. Would have taken me two months to do the same thing.

LOL
