meh don't sweat it....the bigger issue is why is the nem moving? it will likely move again but gsp is like a weed...hard to kill off, I wouldn't worry about it and besides much cheaper to replace then the nem...

What jenn said. I've got plenty of gsp you can have if it doesn't make it.

I had a nem mount in the middle of a GSP rock and it looks several weeks for it to kill off the GSP. I wouldn't worry about it. The nem will probably move again but if it doesnt just put the GSP closer to some flow and the nem will take off.

Great ideas everyone, thank you. I will wait it out at least until tomorrow morning to see if he moves off. Then I will try the method of moving the rock to a super high flow spot!

that happened to me about 3 weeks ago with my Condy and my GSP, The Condy has since been removed and donated to a friend the GSP stayed closed for a little over a week and when it opened up it was more like a brown star polyp, but within a few days it got it's color back and now you would never know that anything happened to it

The GSP will be fine. Could always move the rock to a location that would annoy the anemone and kind of force him to move. That is what I did to mine.

Yeah, that's how I got mine to move, just put a rock near him to slide on over to and increased flow over it, he was gone the next day

Careful it doesn't wander into a powerhead and nuke your tank.

Good so far haven't seen him floating yet, so that's good

It is moving because it's unhappy. Either lighting, flow, or water quality, or a combo, or all of the above. When it finds a spot, I would suggest you let it stick there. I would also test your water for quality.

I just did a 15g WC last night. Flow should be fine I have 2 korilla 800's. Water parameters are good, salinity is good. I do still need to buy new T5 bulbs. They are a year old. I do have Cyano on the back glass but I've been told that old bulbs can really feed Cyano.. Everything else in the tank seems fine

I picture you sitting on the edge of the couch anxiously watching to see if the anemone moves.

My best advice- Stop, look, and listen. (observe)

ahhh, he is still on there so I went on ahead and moved teh entire back on the sand in front where it started... To be honest, I dont think it's comfortable on the GSP... because this nem has yet to stay open throughout the daty fully... I think I've seen it open fully twice in two weeks, but not all day... :-(
