sachabballi reef April 4, 2014 Share April 4, 2014 meh don't sweat it....the bigger issue is why is the nem moving? it will likely move again but gsp is like a weed...hard to kill off, I wouldn't worry about it and besides much cheaper to replace then the nem... YHSublime April 4, 2014 Share April 4, 2014 What jenn said. I've got plenty of gsp you can have if it doesn't make it.
AlanM April 4, 2014 Share April 4, 2014 I think Isaac told me. Nem does what nem wants.
wildcrazyjoker81 April 4, 2014 Share April 4, 2014 The GSP will be fine. Could always move the rock to a location that would annoy the anemone and kind of force him to move. That is what I did to mine.
Incredible Corals April 4, 2014 Share April 4, 2014 I had a nem mount in the middle of a GSP rock and it looks several weeks for it to kill off the GSP. I wouldn't worry about it. The nem will probably move again but if it doesnt just put the GSP closer to some flow and the nem will take off.
XxTech MoneyxX April 4, 2014 Author Share April 4, 2014 Great ideas everyone, thank you. I will wait it out at least until tomorrow morning to see if he moves off. Then I will try the method of moving the rock to a super high flow spot!

BowieReefer84 April 4, 2014 Share April 4, 2014 Careful it doesn't wander into a powerhead and nuke your tank.
Crob5965 April 4, 2014 Share April 4, 2014 that happened to me about 3 weeks ago with my Condy and my GSP, The Condy has since been removed and donated to a friend the GSP stayed closed for a little over a week and when it opened up it was more like a brown star polyp, but within a few days it got it's color back and now you would never know that anything happened to it

Yeah, that's how I got mine to move, just put a rock near him to slide on over to and increased flow over it, he was gone the next day

YHSublime April 4, 2014 Share April 4, 2014 It is moving because it's unhappy. Either lighting, flow, or water quality, or a combo, or all of the above. When it finds a spot, I would suggest you let it stick there. I would also test your water for quality.
XxTech MoneyxX April 5, 2014 Author Share April 5, 2014 I just did a 15g WC last night. Flow should be fine I have 2 korilla 800's. Water parameters are good, salinity is good. I do still need to buy new T5 bulbs. They are a year old. I do have Cyano on the back glass but I've been told that old bulbs can really feed Cyano.. Everything else in the tank seems fine
wildcrazyjoker81 April 5, 2014 Share April 5, 2014 It will settle eventually. Takes a little time sometimes.

XxTech MoneyxX April 8, 2014 Author Share April 8, 2014 ahhh, he is still on there so I went on ahead and moved teh entire back on the sand in front where it started... To be honest, I dont think it's comfortable on the GSP... because this nem has yet to stay open throughout the daty fully... I think I've seen it open fully twice in two weeks, but not all day... :-(
