I purchased a par38 bulb online and it came damaged. I will like to know if it is safe to use? The picture below shows the damage.post-2632144-0-87037900-1386286055_thumb.jpg

I'm no expert, so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I'd say you're fine,

i would send it back.  if you ever decide to sell it, im not sure you could sell it in that condition.  The vendor should replace it for free.

Thanks for the responses. The bulb actually screws in and works fine. The seller offered to send me another one for free but stated the other one Instock is also bent like the one pictured. I think they intentionally shipped a damaged light.

Just check the socket after awhile to make sure there is no signs of over heating from a weak connection to the center pin

Return it for a refund and buy somewhere else. Any place that knowingly sells damaged goods as new doesn't deserve your business.
