collegeman December 5, 2013 December 5, 2013 (edited) I purchased a par38 bulb online and it came damaged. I will like to know if it is safe to use? The picture below shows the damage. Edited December 5, 2013 by collegeman
YHSublime December 5, 2013 December 5, 2013 I'm no expert, so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I'd say you're fine,
Shoelace December 6, 2013 December 6, 2013 I think you'll be OK. But does it screw into the socket OK with the threads being damaged?
epleeds December 6, 2013 December 6, 2013 i would send it back. if you ever decide to sell it, im not sure you could sell it in that condition. The vendor should replace it for free.
zygote2k December 6, 2013 December 6, 2013 I doubt the end terminal in the socket will touch the end of the bulb. you should send it back.
collegeman December 6, 2013 Author December 6, 2013 Thanks for the responses. The bulb actually screws in and works fine. The seller offered to send me another one for free but stated the other one Instock is also bent like the one pictured. I think they intentionally shipped a damaged light.
John Ford December 6, 2013 December 6, 2013 Just check the socket after awhile to make sure there is no signs of over heating from a weak connection to the center pin
Origami December 6, 2013 December 6, 2013 Return it for a refund and buy somewhere else. Any place that knowingly sells damaged goods as new doesn't deserve your business. Sent from my Rezound on Tachyon using Tapatalk
