YHSublime September 10, 2013 September 10, 2013 Looking for this tubing, I have an air water ice typhoon III. Anyone know what size it is? 1/4"? Can I get it at a hardware store?
NateCamReef September 10, 2013 September 10, 2013 I believe it is 1/4 but I'm not 100%. Someone will confirm shortly I'm sure. My advice is to NOT get the more rigid tubing like I did. It is a PITA to use with the quick connects!
Coral Hind September 10, 2013 September 10, 2013 It is the same tubing they use for ice makers in refrigerators or home water purifiers. It is at most hardware stores, look in the plumbing section where the hose spools are or in the home water filter section. It is 1/4" polyethylene tubing.
monkiboy September 10, 2013 September 10, 2013 (edited) How much do you need? I have a bunch in a few colors for free. Shoot me a PM if interested. Edited September 10, 2013 by monkiboy
Enkay September 10, 2013 September 10, 2013 You can get it at HD in the plumbing aisle. There are a couple sizes for this kind of tubing. Just take a small sample and find the size you need.

Use the ice maker tubing (1/4" polyethylene) that you can find at HD or Lowes.

Djplus1 September 10, 2013 September 10, 2013 (edited) Actually, Ice maker tubing for some reason is 5/16" not 1/4". I ran into this when I replaced my adapter for my fridge and guess what? Not sold at Lowes or HD for some reason. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002AC705O/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Edited September 10, 2013 by Djplus1
Origami September 10, 2013 September 10, 2013 I've got lots of ice maker tubing from both HD and Lowe's in 1/4 inch. I'm sure that you can get it in other sizes, though. Here's the link for the product that Lowe's carries. $3.47 for 25 feet. Item #: 443061 | Model #: LSPEB25 Sent from my phone

I needed an adapter and they DON'T sell 5/16" push to connects for my 5/16" tube. Just saying that it's not necessarily 1/4". My input line on my RODI is also 3/8", not 1/4". Only the tubes between the canisters is 1/4".

There are def different types. There is no such size as "ice machine" tubing, or RODI tubing for that matter.

Isaac's post was seeking 1/4" tubing for his Typhoon III. That product uses 1/4" tubing throughout. (I have three of them at home.)
Tracy G September 11, 2013 September 11, 2013 Funny enough I needed the same and got the Water Line tubing. I'm sure I will have extra if you need. Should be able to know how much on Fri or Sat
