sachabballi reef May 17, 2013 May 17, 2013 (edited) i feel like the random fish shots were some kind of subliminal advertising.... must go buy fish.... that was pretty cool!!! Thanks for sharing Edited May 17, 2013 by sachabballi reef
smallreef May 17, 2013 May 17, 2013 Very interesting.... Tough at the end they do a lot of rewinding and fast forwarding....I love that plating monti...that thing grows crazy!
Coral Hind May 17, 2013 May 17, 2013 Pretty cool but actually slower growth than what I was expecting for 18 months.
Chad May 17, 2013 Author May 17, 2013 ^that was my takeaway on it too... I think that things like varying light, temperature, minor predation, pests and usually slightly lower calcium and alkalinity levels in the wild can lead to slower growth than we sometimes see when we hit on that magical combination in our closed environment tanks.
wade May 19, 2013 May 19, 2013 I like that a patch of hair algae shows up... gets huge... then bleaches and vanishes. Of course, you can see how much debris there is in the water at certain times too - which our tanks (hopefully) don't get. I am guessing from rain events. Very interesting video.
