My Moorish Idol is eating pellets.

Here is the video of him/her eating Noris from the clip

I do believe that he thinks he's a tang.

Congratulations on the accomplishment!

Such a beautiful fish. I take it that it's hard to get them to eat pellets or nori? Was he eating those at BRK before you brought him home?

That is so awsome. Would love to see what else you can get him to eat down the road.

In general they are hard to get to eat anything prepared. To get him to eat pellets i don't think is very common. I think eating noris should be easy as they graze in the wild. I thought he would have eaten the frozen mix before pellets. I did not see him eat anything at brk. It just looked very healthy, fat, swimming around. not super skidish.

Mine went to nori first then pellets then home made fish food.

Let's pair them up ;)

do you know how to sex them?

how long have you had it? in the shop or home tank?

Oh well, Not only is he eating pellets he is eating ZOAS!!!!

So I brought it back to BRK.

SO he is back up for sale, obvoiusly eating!

Not what I was thinking at all! Glad you where able to get him out - hope it didn't do too much damage.

Sounds like the perfect fish for a FOWLER system.

Yea, it sucks. he is an awesome fish. Always out in the open, peaceful. wish i could have kept him. I was getting ready to move him to the main tank too. Glad i saw him eating zoos in the frag tank. Great reason to have a qtank.

yea, he picked on some chalices too. oh well. hopefully someone else will pickup that beauty. I miss him already.
