Jan December 27, 2011 December 27, 2011 I'm so upset. I found it this morning on the floor in front of the tank stand. I really liked this fish. It was big and had a lot of personality. Gorgoeus yellowhead with light neon blue body.

Jan December 27, 2011 Author December 27, 2011 Yea, I shouldn't take a chance. I know. Sorry to hear that. I saw him in person very beautiful fish. Jan you need to cover your tank the Midas blenny jump too.
collegeman December 27, 2011 December 27, 2011 Sorry Jan. I lost a few fish to jumping before I decided to keep a cover on every tank I own.
Steve175 December 27, 2011 December 27, 2011 Very sorry. I recently lost a blue spot which I loved. I really like the open/rimless look of my tanks, but am having NAGA build me some removable rims (almost like a removable flush-fitting horizontal eurobrace) which I can use for the first few months after adding potential jumpers (also, am planning to avoid the more notorious of the latter such as jawfish as much as it saddens me).
Jan December 27, 2011 Author December 27, 2011 I'm not attached to these fish the way I am to my dog, but this one was very nice. It had a great personality. Something must have spooked it. This is a great idea. Please post pictures of it when it's done. I'd love to see it. Very sorry. I recently lost a blue spot which I loved. jason the filter freak December 27, 2011 December 27, 2011 Sorry to hear it, I've had many a fish jump ship before I learned to cover my tanks
Cris December 28, 2011 December 28, 2011 Oh Jan, I am sorry. I saw your jawfish. It was a beautiful fish. Cris
Steve175 December 28, 2011 December 28, 2011 Supporting my theory (or not): was your jawfish relatively new? Happy to post pics of my suicide prevention measures once I receive them.
Jan December 28, 2011 Author December 28, 2011 Yes and no; it was in this set up for two years. I purchased the set up and all the fish came with it. It's been in this tank for a month. Before then it was in a holding tub for 3 weeks. It was happy. I suspect my daughter spooked it somehow. Teenagers have that effect...wanting to make one jump out/off . Supporting my theory (or not): was your jawfish relatively new? Happy to post pics of my suicide prevention measures once I receive them.
Supernova26 December 28, 2011 December 28, 2011 Sorry for your loss Jan. fish also get spoked when lights go out abruptly.
