120G Reeftank teardown sale

Recommended Posts

Folks,

Thanks to all that have PMed me. I apologize for the delay in updating

the items. I had to leave for NC wednesday evening and hence the delay

I am relocating and have decided to tear down the 2 year old 120G reef tank.

The tanks is a 4x2x2ft reef ready. It was custom built by glasscages.

Comes with dual overflow chambers and 1.5" durso standpipes. It has glass

bracing and no plastic center brace to melt. The tank is in good shape. Only

one 1" long minor scratch on the inside and is not obvious. One would need

at least 4 strong folks to lift the tank.

I also have 300lbs of southdown sand in the tank that can be had for free.

The sand bed has an eggcrate shelf, so no sand stirring and hence no deteritus

mixup. The sand below the top layer is as good as new.

The sump is a 29G tall and has a 1" bulkhead installed. I installed some baffles

to suppress the mico-bubbles.

The stand and canopy are DIY.

The plan is to sell the Corals first, then the fish and followed by the hardware.

I plan to setup a 360 or so in a couple of months when i am settled in NC, so will

keep some of my hardware like the reactors/chiller/closed loop pump etc.

Here are the details.

Folks

Here is what is remaining. Please PM me for if you are interested.

This saturday/Sunday - June 11th/12th will be the fish pickup days.

Tank/Stand/Canopy - $200 ( i have 2 folks wanting it.

One has asked for picture. Picture sent.

- Here is the scoop. A 120G from glass cages is darn heavy. The stand is a

DIY made of 2x4 and 4x4. its darn heavy and built like a tank.

You would need a minivan ( count 2 trips) or a large pickup ( for 1 trip).

You will need at least 4 strong guys to haul it.

If you can handle the above and get the tank out before JUNE 20, please

commit. If not, then i don't wish to waste time, since the movers will be here

after that date and i really want it gone by then.

Hippotang (3-4", the pig of my tank)- $45 Hold for Ousnakebyte - Mike

Yellowtang( very docile and about 3") -

Anthias - $15 each ( have 3) hold for stonecold

(anthias are 2 months since introduced to the

tank and only eat frozen food)

Mandarin - $15 ( eats only pods off the rocks)

clowns - $40 ( large female, small male and

they spawn regularly - false perc) Hold for dbartco

Sebae anemone ( purple tip ) - $40

(I would love to see the clowns go with the

anemone and will offer it for $75) Hold for dbartco

scooter dragnet - $9 hold for dchild

pgymy angel - $18 hold for Tri Bui

watchman goby ,small one - $10 hold for tri bui

lemon peel angel - $15

watchman goby, big one - $15

royal gramma - $5 hold for dbartco ???? - Doug did you say you want it

green chromis - $3 each ( there is at least 1 ).

peppermint shrimp - $4 each( dont know how many are around)

I also have a pistol shrimp ( he digs the sand and is green to brown in color.

I was given as a pistol , but he could be a mantis. However, it is not as

vibrant as a mantis. It however was a good pair with the small watchman goby.

i could not stand their mess digging the sand out in my small tank. It

will be a good pair if you have crushed coral instead of southdown) - FREE

Mangrove seeds

Mangrove seeds with 2 leaves( new sprout) - $4 each ( 6 available)

Folks,

The tank will need to be emptied and given to its possible new owner on

Sunday AM.

So the fish and sand will need to go on saturday.

I have tabs on the PM for those that wanted the sand.

If you have stuff that you have dibs on, but have not left your phone #, please

PM me with the #.

I will call saturday AM to schedule a pickup.

It should be quick, since the rock will come out, the water will be drained and

the fish caught.

Eek! My saturday is just about booked solid. I have the morning available and I'm busy from 10:30 onwards.

Actually... I *might* be able to slip out of the house between 1:00ish and 2:00 or so...
