Hatchling

Hatchling (3/13)

  1. I'm a former member - but my membership has lapsed and i no longer have access to the selling forum. Long story short, I broke down my tank and am getting out. I have gotten rid of everything except for a largish rock (around 12" across) with a number of soft corals (green sinularia?). It is the big rock in the middle, I would like to get $50. If you are interested - send me an email garymebert at hotmail.com. I live in Chevy Chase, MD
  2. Yes, I know - I need to be a member to post for sale. I hope that you can let this one slide. I used to be a member before a tank crash wiped out my beautiful 90 gallon reef. A huge snail clogged one of the overflows and flooded my living room, which caused everything to get out of whack and die. That was several years ago. I did a FOWLR tank since then, but never bothered to keep up with it and all I have left is a single yellow tang. It is very hardy (obviously) - I have had it for at least 3 years, probably longer. I am moving in a few weeks. I plan to keep the live rock and start up a new tank at the new location, but I don't want to put this fish through any more trauma. I would like $15 for him, or a few softie or easy hard coral frags to be picked up at a later date. If money is tight and you have a nice big tank, you can have him. He eats nori, dry food, etc. Send me an email garymebert at hotmail.com I almost forgot - I live in Derwood, MD - near the Shady Grove Metro
  3. I know nothing about this tank or what they used it for - but I saw it listed on Rasmus and it will probably go really cheap if someone is interested. FISH TANK 76
  4. I had a tank get really hot on vacation (the person watching the tank didn't know a whole lot). All that survived was a yellow tang and an urchin. On the plus side ALL the aiptasia were gone. It has been a year and they have not come back. I don't know what this does to the bacteria in the live rock - but it seems less harsh than drying it in the sun. Put a heater in a small tank with the rock and raise it a degree or two a day until you see that all the aiptasia are gone. Then leave it there for another day or two to be sure.
  5. The urchin just needs rockwork. I think they feed on the coralin - it seems to take care of itself. Let me know when you want to come get it if you are interested. Gary
  6. Location is Derwood, MD (between Rockville and Gaithersburg)
  7. I am going to take a break from the hobby for a while. I have the following for sale: Medium sized Yellow Tang $15 Pajama cardinal $5 purple urchin $5 Thanks, Gary
  8. I would be interested in: Hippotang (3-4", the pig of my tank)- $45 Anthias - $15 each ( have 3) - What kind of anthias? Mandarin - $15 ( eats only pods off the rocks) royal gramma - $15 green chromis - $3 each peppermint shrimp - $4 each Let me know Gary
  9. They call them engineer gobies for a reason...
  10. I hope that I'm not too late to get in on this. I need some snails and hermits to clean up a bit of an algea problem that is starting. I would be interested in going 1/2 on the $99 The Reeftopia Special if anyone wants to go that way. Otherwise I would like 24 sm blue leg hermits ($10) and a dozen turbos ($10). They have a 100 turbos for $40 that I would like to split with someone. Anyway - let me know. I can paypal you ahead of time.
  11. AquariaUSA - thats great! I am really in need of some peppermint shrimp. I have an aiptasia problem that is getting out of control. I had a pep. shrimp for a while that did a terrific job of getting rid of those nasty buggers and I could sure use some more. I just struggle with having to pay $9-$10 for one of them at the LFS. Sph2sail - thanks I may try to put an order together soon.
  12. I have attempted to get in contact with them several times and I have not gotten a response - so at this time the order is off. Sorry for getting your hopes up. If anyone else plans to put an order together from somewhere else - let me know.
  13. Things have gotten a bit crazy for me at home so I have put this off too. I sent them a note but they haven't gotten back to me... Anyway, I was thinking of waiting until the 17th for a delivery. That way I can bring things to the meeting on the 18th if folks want to order just one or two things. Gary
  14. I was assuming that I could have it delivered to my house and that anyone that wanted to order could pick things up at my house. I have a system that contains about 170 gallons - so I can probably host your order for a couple of days until you can stop by. If someone else wants to host the order - I would be happy to come to pick up my share of the order. If it is OK with everyone I would like to put the order in for a delivery this Friday.
