MaxSpec Mizzarra

LED fixture

came accross this last night and figured some of you might be interested. they look pretty nice and the price is pretty high but again they do look good.

Especially like the mounting/modular

wow, thats the best looking led fixture Ive seen to date. crazy price though.

I saw that and it is overkill. I would still prefer to build my own lights just because I can build it exactly as I like at half the cost. Lots of companies are getting into the LED market, and lots will fail because LED's are so easy to use. The lights in the Max Spectra are no different than what they sell online at reefled.com, rapidled.com and ledgroupbuy.com. The Max Spectra and these other brands just make it look really nice. But if you have the money and your tank is in an open room and you want that look...more power to you.

^although I agree with you, I do really like the clean, modern look of those!

Hopefully mine will look similarly nice when I am done with it!

On that note of cleanliness, that is what I hate about most DIY fixtures, there all ugly and exposed. If you have a canopy and/or can hide it then great, but IMO it makes a whole set up ugly when Frankenstein the light is hanging above it..

When you can build something that looks and functions that well, for a fraction of the price, please let me know... That light looks awesome.!

if someone tool the time and had a lathe and access to the raw materials i dont think it would be that hard to make the fixture look as clean as this one does.

i know where i could get to a lathe and probably find the material but the time doesnt exist for my life.

but 2k is a little on the high side though it does come with a controller (if only it controller everything including printing dollar bills)

Anyone seen a price for the low end model, the " S-Series" ????

The P-Series is the one with all the bells and whistles, thats the only one I have found a price for.

$700 for a single, $1100 for a double, $1600 for a triple, and $2000 for a quad.

I'm thinking a double for a 60 gallon cube would be pretty nice.
