light recommendation to grow macro algae

My refugium is about 20"x10" area in the sump. The micro algae in it never grows well. I am using a 65W power compact light. I think the light is not strong enough. What do you think?

Maybe there is something else keeping the macros from growing. If your water is nutrient-poor, the macros will suffer.

Just looked and found this one for $7.97 http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-100663844/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

same as the one that I bought except the one I bought says it's dimmable, wish I had seen this one, oh well maybe next time
