trockafella September 15, 2009 Author September 15, 2009 (edited) So not a good idea..? My gf comes home from running to the lfs for me and tells me about it, but I have no idea about these things... Some electric sweet tea might be nice with it as well... Edited September 15, 2009 by trockafella
reefhunter September 15, 2009 September 15, 2009 I had one... it died... my friend had one... it died... thats all I know about them.
trockafella September 15, 2009 Author September 15, 2009 That seems to be the popular answer thanks, looks like no electric scallop in her future...
Coral Hind September 15, 2009 September 15, 2009 Unless you have a really dirty tank they will not live long. I wish fish stores would stop trying to sell them.
hlem September 15, 2009 September 15, 2009 you can try the regular flame scallop, i had both, both died, even tho the regular flame lasted like less than 1 month. dont remember how long the electric lasted.
L8 2 RISE September 15, 2009 September 15, 2009 I read up on this a while back. If I remember right, Flame scallops aren't true scallops and are there for relatively easy to care for. I believe the article said they were classified as some sort of clam.
steveoutlaw September 16, 2009 September 16, 2009 Flame scallops starve and die. Since all scallops seem to starve and die, technically we're doing them a favor by broiling them up in butter and garlic.
