cabrego August 28, 2009 August 28, 2009 Holy cow Look at these boogers! I think they are actually eating pellets!!!
Boret August 28, 2009 August 28, 2009 Ha ha ha ha!!! That is not a pod anymore, it entered the realm of the large invertebrates! You should call it the "shrimp pod"
cabrego August 28, 2009 Author August 28, 2009 I think I should look into getting a mandrin now hehe..
Origami August 28, 2009 August 28, 2009 Boret's got it right, it's not a pod anymore. It's MR. POD now.
Sikryd August 28, 2009 August 28, 2009 I've seen some pretty big pods in my tank before, but that one takes the cake! That thing is huge. A mandarin couldn't even chow down on that thing, you might scare it into eating mysis if it sees that thing.
Hilary August 28, 2009 August 28, 2009 I've got a couple like that living (and growing) in my fuge. I've wondered what my mandarin would do if she found one of them. Maybe I should make a video "Round One: Ms. Mandarin vs. Mr. Pod"?
treesprite August 28, 2009 August 28, 2009 What a beast. I have seen some big ones in my system running around with nothing to gobble them up. Every time I find a big one in a bucket of waste water I feel guilty about sending it to it's grave.
Origami August 28, 2009 August 28, 2009 Hmmm..... We could use that for Jan's coral banded claws, too.
sen5241b August 28, 2009 August 28, 2009 pods are generally classified by their size. I've got both copepods and amphipods in my tank. That pic has amphipods I think.
