Ha ha ha ha!!!

That is not a pod anymore, it entered the realm of the large invertebrates! You should call it the "shrimp pod" :)

I've seen some pretty big pods in my tank before, but that one takes the cake! That thing is huge.

 

A mandarin couldn't even chow down on that thing, you might scare it into eating mysis if it sees that thing.

I've got a couple like that living (and growing) in my fuge. I've wondered what my mandarin would do if she found one of them. Maybe I should make a video "Round One: Ms. Mandarin vs. Mr. Pod"?

What a beast. I have seen some big ones in my system running around with nothing to gobble them up. Every time I find a big one in a bucket of waste water I feel guilty about sending it to it's grave.

pods are generally classified by their size. I've got both copepods and amphipods in my tank. That pic has amphipods I think.
