Boret August 7, 2009 August 7, 2009 Have you guys seen these?: eBay $31.99 Shipped $38.94 Shipped The eBay seller advertise them as made by Sunsun, the maker of Hydor Koralia. I am happy with my tunzes but with the magnets these seem pretty good deals. Anyone has any experience with this eBay vendor (proquarium)? This is the vendor's eBay store. He even sell this light fixture: For $259.99 Shipped -- Light bulbs included. Now, lights I am skeptical of knock offs (poor reflectors, crappy bulbs, fire hazard) but for flow in a sump or a small tank the powerheads might work.
L8 2 RISE August 7, 2009 August 7, 2009 If you want cheap koralia nock offs, check these out: http://www.aquacave.com/coralvue-high-seas...br24w-2596.html They have amazing reviews on reef central, and many are claiming that they are better than koralia's, not to mention cheaper.
capsfan August 7, 2009 August 7, 2009 (edited) I've often wondered about the knockoffs also. The problem with the one above is that it is too much flow for me. I would need a smaller knockoff. BTW, glad to see you're back, Sam. EDIT: Nevermind. Just saw this... link Edited August 7, 2009 by capsfan

Boret August 7, 2009 Author August 7, 2009 I am not even in the market for any of those, I just wanted to find out the different opinions. Plus I am bored, not much work lately (August is dead work wise) so I spend 20% of my work day dealing with a couple of emails and 80% on the forums. At this rate ill hit the 1000 posts mark in no time!
Boret August 7, 2009 Author August 7, 2009 Or these.. http://www.fishnreef.com/pumps/powerheads/.../prod_5623.html I don't know man... yours is 4 cents more expensive!!! LOL
lanman August 7, 2009 August 7, 2009 I'll bet we could get cheap shipping with fishnreef... This is the best koralia price I found. But unless you're buying several, like I did - the shipping eats you up. http://www.aloha-aquariums.com/servlet/the...oralia-4/Detail bob
zygote2k August 7, 2009 August 7, 2009 FWIW, I use Coralvue 400w 14k mh bulbs and have been satisfied with their performance and price. They only cost me $33 each. I don't have a PAR meter, but all the corals react to the light just like any other manufacturer. 1/2 the price too.
fosterspike August 7, 2009 August 7, 2009 these are cheap: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod...-FS-_-8709-_-P3
hlem August 7, 2009 August 7, 2009 i got 2-800gph, and the twin 3600gph one. the are extremely quiet, and works great with a wave maker, but i dont think they produce the advertised gph. but for the money, i'm happy with it.
