Leishman June 1, 2009 Author June 1, 2009 Got water? How did the plumbing go last night? It's filling now. Had ~30g in when I came to work this morning. I didn't get the plumbing done. No glue remember. I cut all the parts, did a dry fit, cleaned the new skimmer and watched Cindy Crosby and her boyfriends get whooped then went to bed.

Leishman June 9, 2009 Author June 9, 2009 Update time. Life has been getting in the way of me setting up my new tank. It has been baby steps between work, kids, Stanley Cup playoffs and sleep. The tank is now in place: Before: Mid way: In Place:
zoozilla June 9, 2009 June 9, 2009 Looking good Rik. I see that you opted not to install the black cover for the overflow? How did you finally take care of the slight bowing in the middle of the stand? Things look spot-on leveled

How did you finally take care of the slight bowing in the middle of the stand? Things look spot-on leveled The overflow cover needs to be moded to fit over the standpipe. The stand was re-shimmed and tweaked by Chewy.
jamesbuf June 9, 2009 June 9, 2009 Make sure you have the power cord to the Vortech connected to something. If it were to loose its connection with the inside piece, it looks like it'd drop straight into the sump. Even if they are lined up perfectly, I've still had them randomly separate on me.

It is attached, in 2 places.
Leishman June 9, 2009 Author June 9, 2009 looks good...do you only have 1 drain and one return? 2 drains (one sealed) and 1 return. There will be 2 Vortechs in the display for flow.
ctenophore June 9, 2009 June 9, 2009 Dang, you beat me to first fill-up. Looks good though! Does that drain pipe burp? You're not going to leave it like that.
Leishman June 9, 2009 Author June 9, 2009 Dang, you beat me to first fill-up. Looks good though! Does that drain pipe burp? You're not going to leave it like that. 180g will always fill faster than 4000g - what school did you go to? No burping. The drains and returns all need work, I just wanted to get the flow going.
Leishman June 29, 2009 Author June 29, 2009 Update time. I moved most of the 250 to the 135 this past w/e. No shock, but the contents of a 250g tank do not fit in to a 135g tank. This: Into this: First was to do the Aquascape in the new tank (Will be redone, not 100% happy with it) Front Aquascape Side Aquascape Top Down (From Front)
Leishman June 29, 2009 Author June 29, 2009 And with 50% of the coral Front Side Top Sump and frag tank
capsfan June 30, 2009 June 30, 2009 (edited) Haha! My Capitals banner is right behind my hockey table too! Yours Mine Anyway, the tank is looking really nice! Edited June 30, 2009 by capsfan
