Anyone know how to fix a Current Nova Extreme Pro?

It is fairly new and two of the lamps are out. I was hoping it was bulbs and I bought new ones but no go.

If it can't be fixed can anyone recommend somewhere to get a custom built light system? I have a 54 corner tank and getting the lighting I want has been very expensive and very disappointing.

Thanks!

I have had the same problem with my Nova Extreme (not the "pro" version). In my case, it turned out that salt creep got inside and the wiring over-heated so the switch melted inside of the fixture. I replaced the switch and the fixture was fine. Unfortunately, later the same issue melted some of the endcaps, and there are no replacement endcaps to be found that will fit the fixture (if anyone knows of any, let me know cuz I'm down 2 bulbs). Of course I have been using it over an open-top tank, so it's kind of my fault since they aren't built for that type of exposure.

Thanks for the info..... I am also using it over an open top tank and it is probably my fault it's not working. I also recall dropping it a few weeks ago....

I'll let you know if I fond any answers.

54 corner? sounds like a perfect place to hang a Coralife 250w pendant

+1

I had a 54 corner that I installed a 250w hqi and dual t5 actinics. With a good 14000k bulb, it's a nice color and plenty of light.

i had the same thing happened with my aquamedic pedant, i had to replace on of the connection of the bulbs to make it work again. wasn't easy ...

good luck
