NOT!!

So I have 4 fish in my 58-gallon tank that have been living together for 2 years. Three of them came from a FOWLR tank, where they lived together for a couple of years before that. All peace and harmony. 6-line wrasse... false percula clown... royal gramma... and a coral beauty angel.

During the tank move last weekend, the coral beauty had a panic attack; jumped onto a rock, and thrashed around - scraping up one side a bit. She was embarrassed about the unsightly roughed up scales, so she took to hiding in one corner, waiting for them to heal.

The other fish were of course being nice to her; giving her tail-kisses to make her feel better...

Right!! Murdering little @#$%*'s. Never show weakness, I guess - the clownfish and the 6-line attacked the angel repeatedly - biting pieces of tail off. The angel, of course, was even more afraid of my net and bucket - and I could never catch her. Until she was so weak and eaten alive that she couldn't get away from me. And by then, it was too late to save her. RIP little angelfish!

Got a wounded fish??

The only one that ever was nasty before was the royal gramma - and he didn't bother the angel at all. But he and one of my Anthias used to get into it...

next time try to place a mirror in front of the tank.

i did that when i introduced new fish to my tank, and my achilles was such a brute. placed a mirror in front and he/she was preoccupied with themself that he only attacked the mirror, quite funny, i think he eventually got tired. but now my tank is pretty peaceful, still attacks the hippo when he goes pyscho.

Poor Angel....

Crazy clowns.... if I were that third clown fish I'd stay out of it....

Laura

poor fishy :(

Kinda remind me of the story in Fenner's book about a Trigger growing up with some blue damsels. Then one day he threw in some food and the trigger got so excited that he bit a damsel in two - at which point they all fled including the trigger. The next day all the damsels were dead. Fish .... what ARE they thinking?

Lol. No, but I have a coral beauty that I haven't been able to catch and want him to "disappear"... Looking for a couple of good hitfish for the job.
