First Person View Of Mantis Strike

Recommended Posts

No editing this time.

With my computer sound and youtube sound all the way up, that's exactly what it sounded like. It was super loud.

I think if he was twice the size he could break it. Especially if it was thinner.

I antagonized him with the feeding prong until he struck.

This is filmed from the victim's perspective.

That thing's going to break the glass and eat you and the camera one day. lol Cool video. I used to keep smaller mantis shrimp a couple of years ago. Very interesting and entertaining little creatures.

sounds loud, but it won't break a tank. I used to have a 6" peacock and it would strike the glass all the time with similar provocation. I've even had it strike the back of my thumb.

We should make it the Wamas team mantis fighter and take it around challenging all the other sites to death matches. Kill 'em all.

That is a really cool video! I have got to get one...but if that were my aquarium I would put the following pictures on the inside of the tank:

I got mine at Roozen's.

I was there this weekend, and they have a peacock that is a little smaller than mine there now.

A 16 would be plenty big. People often talk about keeping them in 10/12/14. I have some discussion about that in my dedicated tank thread LINK
