HowardofNOVA March 14, 2008 March 14, 2008 I come home tonight to see that my RBTA decided to move, So I started trying to push it back under the rocks and realized it attached itself to the bottom of my $120.00 Red AUSSIE ECHINO!!!!! Took me forever to get him off but put him back into a safe spot!! Funny now, but not a few minutes ago!!!
vaironman March 14, 2008 March 14, 2008 Howard, I am out of real estate in my tanks but I think I can make just a spot for that red chalice just to help you out! Glad everything looks OK.
tygger March 14, 2008 March 14, 2008 Wow, that sux man. How long did it take for you to move it off the coral?
bk_market March 14, 2008 March 14, 2008 hmmm if a BTA is happy where it is place then it will stay right? Would there be a chance if it doest get enough light and flow but still doesnt move?
HowardofNOVA March 14, 2008 Author March 14, 2008 Chalk up one SAVE!!! I had the Chalice covering a hole in the rocks and the RBTA decided the smooth bottom made a good foothold, EXACTLY in the middle of the coral bottom! Nothing touched the top!! I lifted the foot out of the water and with my fingernail, it surprising came off pretty quick! I guess it didn't like its foot out of the water. I place in its previous spot and went deep! I then moved about 20# of the new LR, put the old on top to cover the WHITENESS and then rearrange everything! Actually I'm pretty happy in what I did, so will keep my fingers the RBTA likes it new spot and will come out to play tomorrow!
NRehman March 14, 2008 March 14, 2008 Nice save Howard. Now to frag that echino so this doesn't happen again!
HowardofNOVA March 14, 2008 Author March 14, 2008 The Large frag will be on auction in the next couple of weeks!
