bk_market March 5, 2008 Share March 5, 2008 Im having trouble keeping the area at the bottom of my aquarium where the sandbed is clean off algea and coraline. I have mag-float but they can only get the stuff in the middle of the glass. Im looking for something that is hard and can brush off the bottom part where the glass met the sandbed which the mag-float can not get to. I want something that work and dont scratch off my glass. something that have long handle so i dont have to put my whole arm in the tank.
steveoutlaw March 5, 2008 Share March 5, 2008 You can get a long handled Kent scraper. I'm pretty sure that BRK carries them.
Big Country March 5, 2008 Share March 5, 2008 Agree with the long handle Kent scraper, Aquarium One also has them if that is closer.

Origami March 5, 2008 Share March 5, 2008 I have both a short and long handled scraper. Actually, for some of the hard to clean and hard to reach places, I prefer the short handle- long arms approach because of the advantage you'll have with leverage and better positioning of the scraper. Just my two cents.
Highland Reefer March 5, 2008 Share March 5, 2008 I use the dangerous approach for those areas. A razor blade.
steveoutlaw March 5, 2008 Share March 5, 2008 Of course, if you don't want to get your hands wet you can always get one of these: http://www.oceansmotions.com/store/product...5afbb101ae3d6aa
phisigs79 March 5, 2008 Share March 5, 2008 I have the ocean motion scraper and have to say. You get you hands wet unless you leave the razor blade in the tank. I like it but i dont at the same time.
