  9. Welcome Jessica!!! This is a great club with lots of knowledge and willing to share it. Jessica, Dave is absolutely correct on his statement but I disagree with the last sentence (I'm not saying he is wrong but I believe to be otherwise, however that is subject to individual interpretation). I have read that if the T5's are not overdriven the can go between 21-24 months on the good side of the spectrum, now general consent by most people I know (myself included) will replace their bulbs between 12-18 months. Raf

  18. Let it take it course, sometimes they will host and sometimes they won't host at all. Also depends on the anemone and clowns. What kind of clowns are they and what kind of anemone is it? Maybe your anemone isn't compatible with the kind of clown you want to host. Just my .02
  19. Grey Seas Aquatics, yesterday I had a minor problem with my Kalk Stirrer and I decided to put GSA's customer service to the test. Here is the timeline: ~945pm - discovered and troubleshoot the problem ~1000pm - called GSA :( ~1005pm - got call back from GSA ~1012pm - GSA arrived at my house in Rockville ~1030pm - GSA solved the problem and moded the Kalk Stirrer ~1030pm - 1110pm reef chatter ~1110pm - GSA departed Rockville I was lucky that GSA was driving on my area when I called, never the less GSA went out of their way to solve my problem. **Did you noticed that we spent more time reef chattering than the time it took for GSA to resolve my problem. Grey Seas Aquatics Customer Service is the BEST CUTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EXPERIENCED IN YEARS!!!! A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+A+ Raf
  20. Mine are running under individual reflector with standard triad ballast, I can't imagine how much brighters yours are being powered by IceCaps, breakout the sunblock and shades when we go see your tank.
  21. Bob that's not neccesarily the case. There is NO and HO, NO = Normal Output HO=High Output Under normal circumstances that formula would apply to NO not the case for HO. T5's are considered HO's. Example my tank is a 115G total volume w/ 5X54W T5's that gives me 2.35W per Gallon on my tank and my growth is awesome. Here is a picture:
