  1. thank you guys! It is still running but making some noise. I took it apart yesterday and cleaned it but the noise is still there. any suggestions? Chris
  2. I have an external Bubble King 250, that may need a new pump. Is there an alternative pump for this skimmer? If i choose to go with the Red Dragon, where is the best place to buy it? Thanks Chris
  3. i like the rock work. Good job Tony!
  4. The white one is platinum, and the pair is snowcasso
  5. Hi Alan, Make sure you install the check valves correctly and the check valves are still functioning. Chris
  6. Hello Wamasers, While taking pictures of my frags, i snapped a couple pics of my anemones, and i thought i would share them with you. Thanks for viewing, Chris
  7. Sorry for your lost. How big was the kole tang? Do you have moon light? I have 3 giganteas and a riterri in my tanks, so losing fish to one of these guys is also very likely.
  8. Thank you! It's a 150g deep dimension cube, 36"x36"x27"
  9. Thank you everyone! I built the stand myself. I also designed my sps tank (http://wamas.org/totm_previous.php?prev=totm-2011-03). Yes this tank is connected to my sps tank which shared the same fuge and sump from the other side of the wall. Currently i have 2 gigs in the system along with a ritteri. I run heavy on carbon and haven't seen any ill effects from keeping these anemones in the same system. This is an older picture of the sps tank.
  10. At one time the tank has 8 Maximas but i've never had luck with those French Polynesian clams. Currently It is a home of 5 different types of anemones (Gigantea, Magnifcent, Malu, Rock anemone and Tupe anemone) and different LPS including NPS.
  11. Thank you for your kind compliments! Agreed. I have some cleanup to do Adam did a good job building this tank for me. It's a 36x24x12 with routed edge and flame polish. The bonsai is a fake one i picked up from Ebay The box in the center has a hidden door to the inside of the stand where wires and equipments are kept. I used a LED strip for ceiling light and another one is hidden inside the stand rim serving as a night/moon light.
  12. Chris, I was so lazy to do a build thread for this tank. It has been up and running for about a year now. The tank is a 40g shallow rimless.
  13. +1 make sure the fresh made saltwater has the same salinity and temperature as the water in the tank to avoid shocking the live stocks.
  14. Thanks Jan for the tips; based on the symtomps, do you think it may have been brook? John, The vendor is not our lfs. I will attempt to treat it first to see if i could safe him.
  15. Thank you everyone for your advices and offers. I am inexperienced dealing with fish diseases. I got this clown from a vendor who claims it is a Doni’s snowcasso, so it is not a wild-caught. The fish looks pale and is covered with white-ish slime. The left pectoral fin seems weak, and the fish has some labor breathings. It is much less active but still eats. He is the newest fish in the tank and the rest of his tank mates seem to be doing well. Should I give him a quick fresh water dip now, before I get my hand with some medication and treat him? How long should I dip him? Thanks Chris
  16. Hi all, My male clown seems to have brooklynella, and i don't have experience treating the disease. I need help from someone that has the medication and a hospital tank setup that can treat my clown. I will pay in nice sps frags in return. Pls let me know, Thanks in advance Chris Tran
  17. great job Khanh, I am getting addicted to Carpets especially Giganteas. I hope i will be able to keep a healthy one like yours one day.
  18. Welcome to Wamas. You have a nice setup, i specially like your clowns.
  19. I could be wrong, but it looks like a Ritteri anemone. If it is, it likes to be placed where is strong light and turbulent flow. It will stop moving once it finds the spot.
