  1. Congrats Francis, keep us posted with pics and vids
  2. I would shut off one equipment at a time to see if the GFCI still trips. Last time it happened to me, my heater broke and tripped the outlets.
  3. Thank you very much for your kind words. much appreciated! I bought them from multiple sources. BlueWaterTropicals usually carry them as well as ERC. That is hidden cup corals. It is one of my favorites. The polyps are snow white and are about 1". They are always hungry and stay open the whole time. The tank is a part of a 250g+ system. Filtration is done by a large skimmer, carbon reactor and a 20g fuge. I feed corals and fish heavily and often dose Amino Acid. Lighting used is a Geisemann MH/T5 fixture. No it is not ;-) i wish it were. I am inspired by miniature landscapes and by having a rock island with water fall, tree and corals underneath of the water surface take me closer to nature. Thank you!
  4. I would like to share couple updated pictures of my 45g LPS tank. It has been a little over six months since I posted these pictures. The gigantea and the squamosa have grown considerably. Thanks for looking, Chris
  5. Burn in period is only required for new bulbs. I would go ahead and set up the dimming period.
  6. I love your macro shots. Great job!
  7. I am one of few Wamasers converted from LED back to MH/T5. I am running Giesemann fixtures on my two tanks and i absolutrly love them. Giesemann Infinity uses double ended bulbs so the light coverage area is less than other 2 mentioned fixtures
  8. Very nice! I love shallow tanks.
  9. Name, I see $$$$ worth of NPS in your tank. How often do you feed them? Piper27, it's the first time I see a stripped rhizo. It must be really rare. Very nice!
  10. 10 Boxes of Instant Ocean please
  11. Wow, the carpet stays nicely in the center of the tank.
  12. Thanks for the review. I am waiting for the smaller one which is scheduled to come out early next year.
  13. I love shallow tanks. The only complain i have is that my fish choices are very limited. Fish would jump and snails/hermits would claim up and out the tank.
  14. I have 3 angels in there, a gold flakes, a golden and a majestic. They have been living in the tank for a couple years. So far they haven't destroyed my SPS collections. but i have little to no polyp extensions. The tank is 36"x36"x27" which is a little small for the angles. I am thinking of finding a larger home for them. If anyone is interested, please let me know.
  15. Thank you for your kind compliments.
  16. I would love to get advice from experts like you. You need to free up your message box Ken; it's full. ;-)
  17. Thank you Eric. I am sure the frags will do well in your tank.
  18. Left side of the stairs Right side of the stairs
  19. That is my problem. I need to figure out how to run the hose from the tank to the outside wall.
  20. The menterns got sucked into the power heads twice. Got chopped up badly but was able to survive.
  21. Yup Ken, the camera is still laying around. I will take a couple pics later today. Currently I have only 2 tanks in the basement and am dealing with the "smell". I will need to install a ventilation system just like yours. I don't know where to begin.
  22. In the past 8 months, I have lost 1 yellow watchman. Keeping my fingers crossed! You were right the top right is Oregon tort and the bottom left is California tort.
  23. It's a plastic bonsai I picked up from ebay. I shorten the branches and glued them back together; that way the bonsai won't shade all the corals below.
  24. Thank you all for the nice comments.
  25. yes the stairs are over and behind the tank. I access to the back of the tank from a door on the side of the stairs. Very tiny space and packed with full equipment, ;-)
