I have a 60x24x24 tank and have 2 MP40 on each side. For an SPS tank, 2 will be ok but I still feel that it's not enough.

Sean you can have it when you get my platinum clown. I have another frag that is just starting to encrust. I'll place that elsewhere and see if it develops that purple base. I don't remember my colony having one but I like it better with the purple base. Thanks!

I fragged this off my colony a couple of months ago and this frag has started to develop a purple rim around the base. Does the PL acro normally have this purple coloration when it encrusts?

I don't think I'll be raising them. Will probably end up giving the fry for someone else to raise.

I missed the last two hatches. I think about 20 per hatch would've made it had I been home those days. Definitely getting better. They laid again about 30 minutes ago and was able to take a video.

Yes, the fish I had on old didn't make it through QT so I figured I would just use the credit to get this scoly.

I have a cleaner shrimp and a harlequin. The cleaner shrimp is on the other side of the tank and have never seen it away from that spot.

They are laying eggs near the anemone. Unfortunately, the anemone contracts at night so the eggs aren't as protected. I do have a solar fairy wrasse but it doesn't go anywhere near that side of the tank. The ones that usually do are the 2 tangs. I have these in the same tank: purple tang regal tang 2 lyretail anthias solar wrasse

Well...lost the hatch again. They made it through 5 days this time. The eggs looked healthy last night and I think something else got to them. The male had been tending to the eggs a lot this time. Will asterina starfish or snails eat fish eggs? Also, I've been feeding heavily and I think my acros are starting to lose some color. I want to move these to a different tank possibly tied to the same system but afraid that disturbing the clownfish often causes them not to lay eggs for a while.

So I've been feeding heavily because of these guys. I have also been feeding them frozen Rods food every day now and soaking whatever I feed the tank in Selcon. They laid another batch last night and this is the largest one so far. They still laid it on the overflow since I didn't get a chance to buy more tiles. I took a peak at the eggs this morning and the clowns have left the hatch for the anemone. Is this normal behavior for when the lights go out? Also, will the gigantea do any harm to the eggs if it touches them?

Definitely check out Reef Chief. They are moving to a bigger facility and I think this weekend is their last at the old shop. There is a clearance sale going on this weekend to clear out a lot of stuff for their move but I'm not sure if there's a lot left.

They get a mix of mysis and rod's food every other day. The other days I alternate between formula 1,2, or prime flakes. Someone mentioned more feeding. I only feed once a day. Maybe I'll add another feeding session.

Figured I'd start a thread about them. I also laid a clay pot/plate where they last laid eggs but they moved up and still laid on the overflow. This is their second batch of eggs but the male looks like he's been eating the eggs. I think there were at least 150 eggs at first but here's what is left:

I was going to take photos but instead caught my Rod's Onyx female/Doni's Picasso male laying eggs last night so I took a video of it.

My nem didn't move but just extended up about 8 inches. Stung a few of my acros but I have replaced the bulb and it's down on the sandbed again.

I bought a blue gigantea from F&F about 5-6 months ago. Here's a photo about 3 weeks after I got it: I have it under 400w Radium/Icecap lighting and is on the sandbed of my tank about 22" deep. It gets really high flow/surges in that area. My tank is a 156g with a 40g sump. I'll post some updated shots when I get home.
