  2. I have 4 yellow tangs and a powder brown in my 240, just make sure you add them all at the same time. Eric
  3. Use white vinager in syringe but you don't need a needle with it either, but kills it and will never come back, all you have to do is about 1/4 to 1/8 inch away from it and spray it and gone for good. Eric
  4. Just make sure that the new angel is not smaller than the one in your tank now, also a good amount of live rock. Eric
  5. Pacific Coast Imports chillers are the best. Eric
  6. Also you don't want the refugium water being skimed before it goes back into the frag or main tank, because you will be defeating the whole purpose of an refugium. Eric
  7. I got make my own for my glass cages tank, used plexi-glass Lowes, cut slots about 1/4 in apart and use aquarium sealant. They have been on there for 3 years with no problem. Eric
  8. Did you ask John if he is going to the meeting? Or even Byron?
  9. I have a Aquafx Mako and have the same great customer service. Eric
  10. Goto www.Aquariumwaterfilters.com, in my opinion, Aquafx ro/di filters are the best and you can make any combination you want just by calling them direct. Eric
  11. If you are on Capital Hill, your only 10 miles from Edsal Rd to Acme plastics on General Washington Dr, behind Marlos furniture. They sell weld-on. Eric
  12. The water that I drain out my office window just goes into my back yard, no big deal, my dogs have pretty much killed the grass back there anyways. Eric
  13. It take me 15 minutes to change 55 gallons, I drain 55 gallons out my office window, than drain by gravity, pre-made 24 hours before, straight in to my sump on the floor while only using 1 return pump, because if I use both the water get returned into the tank faster than I can fill it, until done. The whole process takes about 15 to 20 mintues. Eric

    LED lights?

Does any LFS in the VA,DC, or MD carry it. I think I make the jump, for what I use in electricity for 3 - 400w MH, 2 140w VHO's and 1/2 HP chiller, and the lack of heat so less evaporation, sound good to me, but yes the price is high, but it will be years before they come down. I know when the first LED tails came out for commercial vehicles, they where $120 for a 4 inch tail light in 1998(100,000 hrs) and amost 10 years later there are cheap one the last 2 to 5 years, but the the good one are still $69 to $90 each. I just don't see the price going down in the next 5 years and with replacing bulbs and electric bills, I think it would pay for it self over time. Thats just my opinion. Eric
  15. Acme plastics off Edsall Rd (right behind Marlos) in Alexandria. Eric
  16. I feed every 2 to 3 days, there is always stuff for them to nibble on in my 240, my clown trigger, once to twice a day or he will try to jump out of the water to bit anyone or anything (dogs) that go near the tank. Eric
  17. 24/7/365. ERIC
  18. It should be fine as long as the new angel is the same or bigger in size. Eric
  19. I have an Blue face, Majestic, coral beauty, lemon peel, and a couple more and I've never had a problem with fedding or fighting. Just like with adding new fish, feed the fish in tank right before adding the angel. Eric
  20. What do you pay for him? Eric
  21. pm sent
  22. 240 Gallon display, 90 gallon sump, around 4600 to 5000 gph. Eric
  23. When I used weldon for my 90 gal sump, ( in the galley) I just used a 2" brush, it work great for me. Eric
  24. Most LED light out in the industry now, even the cheap one are good for at least 50,000 hour, so even if you had the lights on for 18 hours aday, you would still get 7.6 years out of them and MH are good for what 6 to 12 month max and VHO's about the same. Eric
  25. I'm planning on changing from my MH and VHO to an LED setup soon, It maybe more expensive, but the cost of bulbs, chiller, and the growing electric bills will save you alot in the long run. I heard that Tunzee is coming out with an LED setup, so I'm going to wait to see. I've also read that you can set them for month cycles with overcast, rainy, and partly cloudy days too. And also the moon light for cresent to full moon settings too. Eric
