Jacob, the capacitor in my DIY MH kit looks like simaler to a start capacitor in a HVAC System. I wonder if you could call aireco or some other ac places and match the numbers on it? Just a Thought, HTH Gary

i think someone just posted they found it at southern states in manassas va under the name yard right. you can get it at the reef tank also but you have to tell them in advance so they can get it.

The way i have seen it done is that they have a suction mounted mini drill press with diamon barbide glass drill bits, they also have a special lubricant and a "donut" that holds the lubricant around the bit, thick glass may take a shorter amount time as thin glass will take alot of time, i guees their experience would tell them on how much pressure to put on the drill and how long it will take them, also if it is tempered you cant drill it for it will shatter. other people may use different methods. also there is a link in the suppliers part if the links tab for ameriglass. hope i didnt scare ya too much i myself like to leave it to the pros . I know that Tamie started purchasing stuff for it, but are in a quandry on what to do with the undergravel filter they have already in place, and how not to harm that magnificent Elegance coral, i would speculate that the filter right now is acting as a plenum and filled with crud. So they have to figure out how to leave the existing filter in place and how to clean up the crud in the "plenum" without making the above water toxic. as far as the animal transactions (purchasing) i think Tamie is getting alot closer. whatever the outcome i think it can be done filter wise, just have to add to the system. but that is my opinion, i could be wrong. i think the difference is the price, i found mine on ebay through filterdirect.com and paid about $130 thats with a tds meter and its rated at 110 gpd. Gary

i was at the wall mart in manassas and they have play sand by oldcastle. i still havnt done the test to see if it silica based yet but will attempt today. it is white also. but doesnt say silica free. ill post when i find out. G
